Change is life. Apathy is painful.

I wonder what the ratio is between people criticizing nostr:npub10pensatlcfwktnvjjw2dtem38n6rvw8g6fv73h84cuacxn4c28eqyfn34f for funding open source development because they have ulterior motives, and people criticizing nostr:npub10pensatlcfwktnvjjw2dtem38n6rvw8g6fv73h84cuacxn4c28eqyfn34f for funding open source development because they are mouth breather stupid?

We humans keep making the same 10 mistakes over and over again. And each generation is sure that they are different as they walk headlong into the same dumbassery.

But at periodic points, miraculously, change points emerge. The printing press, the steam engine, radio, tcp/ip, Bitcoin…

I forgot the reason I started writing this the same way we forget history, but it’s an interesting thought to spend some time on.

3 day fermented sourdough flatbread cooked in bacon fat, fresh eggs with fresh oregano, thyme, and purple kale, with cheese curds. Smoked salt, and cholula 😋

❤️

I imagine it runs all the things much faster than the 2009 Thinkpad x200 in use as my daily driver. 😆

Thank you?

Do you really think it’s stupid, or just another path? Everything has its trade offs. The years I spent as an urbanite bicycle everywhere Seattlite were some of my favorite ❤️

Every year, Apple has an event.

And every year they reveal who can be compromised by shiny things, and the promise of being “on the cutting edge.”

Apple fans make me throw up in my mouth a little.

I learned egg yolk oil is a thing this week. And why. It only takes us westerners a few millennia to catch up sometimes. 🍳 🥚

I felt prompted to clear out a heavily shaded area on our property a week ago, and a large accumulation of leaves and plant material caught my eye.

Later in the week I learned about the Korean natural farming method of finding an area with strong mycelium and bacterial growth to culture into a fermented soil amendment. I thought about that pile I saw earlier in the week, and sure enough it was filled with white mycelium growth. So I set up my first fermentation experiment. Feel like I’m on a path. Excited to see how it goes.

I'm guilty of this but instead of youtube it's obscure blogs or rumble.

We all are I think.

1) on a slight incline, dig a hole, and a 6 foot trench going uphill.

2) place a metal stock water tank over the hole and trench.

3) fill tank with stream water.

4) light fire in hole, feed until water is hot.

5) get in tub, sit under tree canopy next to stream, listening to waterfall and birds.

6) be thankful

how dare you.

this falls afoul of nostr elite decorum. you have to sit at the pleb table at the next secret meeting.
