In my understanding, at least on Android, the actual keyboard in use (Google Keyboard for Example) can read the paste buffer?
Users should install thrustwothy keyboards bevore copy-pasting sensitive data, always.

The Kagi login and payment flows are/were all messed up. I stopped using it when my credits ran out and I couldn't pay for more, and when I did I wasn't able to use them. Seems stuck between old and new business models.

We need both. Building a web of trust is important to gain authenticity and make it hard to spam and scam. At the same time we need methods of discovery that promote new credible participants into those webs without knowing the whats going on. The key is to balance the two efforts and I think you're right that the weight is too much towards the former currently.
I think there is value in people bringing attention to zaps even if they aren't "contributing" otherwise. It is a unique mode and needs to be emphasized so that those earning it get a better experience.

on the applications tab there is the '+' button and it is the third option. it just uses nsec.app relay under the hood it seems.

Is anyone working on a NIP to attach PoW to an npub? Making it more expensive to spin up accounts that people take seriously seems like a possible solution. It would just be a matter of taking the existing PoW rules and adding a field to the profile. Building PoW into the npub creation is nice, but existing npubs can't do that.
