I think you are right in your first paragraph, ”[m]ost” don’t give a shit. However, given that premise I also think that same lot would accept whatever explanation for the name change you would give them.

You make no sense and I regret this interaction. Bye! Good luck with the podcast.

Let’s try this again. Is ”pura vida” still what the cool kids say? #plebchain 🤙

Why is this happening? Unknown when reposted but very much known when clicking the post.

Yeah, I mean, you should try to follow some peeps or hashtags you find interesting. And of course communicate yourself (if not lurking is your thing). You should definitely make an #introduction post. It’s a great way to dip your toes in nostr.

There has been much talk on social media (apparently) about Chelsea’s comment about her looking like Megan Fox. I understand the flak she’s getting but I think we can all see what she means. But more importantly we should talk about the uncanny resemblance between Jimmy and Canadian actor Devin Sawa.

Suddenly an “influx” of plebs following me. They got no posts or replies, and only one follower, themselves. What’s the protocol? Zap ‘em to make them feel welcome?

Okay, let's talk distros. Which linux distro do you prefer and why?

Me? I'm a Debian user. Came into Linux via Ubuntu when nostr:npub1sn0wdenkukak0d9dfczzeacvhkrgz92ak56egt7vdgzn8pv2wfqqhrjdv9 leaked all that stuff about PRISM. Why exactly it made sense to use Linux because of it I don't remember, but it just did at the time. To me. And then FOSS became super important (again - to me) and I moved to Debian.

I did run Linux Arch for a while, a few years ago, but after I broke it once I just couldn't be bothered anymore. And I had rely too much on the AUR, atleast to my liking. So I moved back to Debian which I've always felt just works.

Anyone have a good suggestion for a laptop that runs well with linux? My Lenovo ThinkPad T430 is running old. Or maybe I should just upgrade the RAM and hard drive...

i got this life hack from nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m. you guys gotta just try it before you bash it, trust me on this

i’ve had no booze, no caffeine for a month.

i have raw eggs and fruit juice instead of coffee, way more nutritious and way more energy.

i eat a lot of red meat and butter throughout the day. cook my steaks blue, sometimes medium rare.

then i build shit for others and stack sats.

if we’re all gonna live ~75 years you can try something for a few weeks. it’s been incredible
