I miss “‘90s traffic”.

When everyone was driving around listening to 1 of 5 radio stations you could pull up at the lights and have an impromptu sing-a-long with a stranger.

Those were good times.

Onboarding idea:

- New user selects 3 - 4 topics out of a broad list of possible interests

- Client only populates universal feed from relays that specialize on these topics

Would require specialized relays but I think this would be good for Nostr communities anyway.

Ok, question for you tree experts. I've planted lots of trees in my lifetime, and mostly I know what I'm doing. But a couple years ago, I noticed that one of my young mexican white oaks was looking very top heavy, so I started trimming a few branches on top. Well, I accidentally cut the leader branch off. I cussed and fretted for a good while. So now the poor little tree looks squatty and is growing out laterally, but doesnt seem to be growing taller. Will it ever grow a new leader branch and start growing upward, or will it just be a short, wide tree forever? #grownostr #trees #permaculture #permies #gardening

I'm so done with traveling and ready to Stay Home. This was a salt shaker at a celebrated tacky restaurant we were taken to. Someone said it was Himalayan. Wake up on your own rural land, in the Love of God, next to someone you love, eat food you grew naturally, with hand tools, irrigated using natural streams, cooked using heat and power you generated, in a space you built, in butter you bartered with your neighbor for…and tell me again how mostly decentralized internet money is the closest thing humans have to “true freedom”.

Bitcoin is great. It solves some very real problems, and brings greater freedom. But stay grounded, and realize money which relies on power companies and Internet provider corporations is not “true freedom”.

if genZ is genX on steroids, then millennial hipsters are hippies on steroids.

and we can expect a genZ punk rock ethos that will deal with millennial hipsters the same way genX punk rockers dealt with hippies.

Good morning nostrworld. Thinking about this day, sipping my coffee, and grateful for life. This morning we'll be going to a Celebration of Life for a friend that was very dear to us. He died pretty young, and left a wife and kids.
