If you’re so inclined please pray for nostr:npub1e2rd2k45ym2jmctnysfadxumrvrr57vqj69ck6trt2y62c40r0kqs9lx8t. She’s had a rough time of it the last 24 hours.

May the Lord grant her healing and strength, rest, and the peace which surpasses all understanding.

I was interviewed on YouTube. Head over to my profile and find the post just under this one for the link.

Thank you for the warm welcome into your homes via the interview I did regarding homeschooling. I was thinking of you all while baking a little snack cake (banana-tahini-hazelnut) and heating the kettle for tea (midday, the loveliest Assam black tea). I am hoping and praying that something I shared was an encouragement to you.

Today my homeschooling looks like sending out two children in the morning for music lessons while I teach Bible to the three at home and let them play. Currently, l am busy in the kitchen, keeping the woodstove going, cleaning out the fridge, and getting a stew started for supper.

After lunch (and cake), l'll be able to grab a couple of kids at a time to go over their schoolwork while supper bubbles away. In that ebb and flow, laundry will get put away and l'll hopefully get to making the Purple Dragon kimchi l've read so much about.

After supper, the internet is turned off (no screens!) and we have our "one room cabin" time, where we can all do whatever as long as we're in the main living areas. Puzzles, games, crafts, sewing, reading (or aloud), radio drama, etc. This is a time when the littles are in bed and it's safe to bring out hot glue guns, felting needles, and board games with a zillion pieces. Sometimes there is popcorn, or hot cocoa.

We just implemented this a few weeks ago, and have to say it is REALLY nice. It's just another way of trying to stay present and intentional with these babies who are growing up So Fast (iykyk).

I'm so blessed and grateful to be home ❀️

Do you have a link for this deal?

Yes, ready or not! I'm never ready for all of the *noise* of the season. I'd prefer a quieter, more gentler and cozy celebration more fitting (IMHO) with the dark cold of winter. Warm fires and old movies and handwork, that sort of thing. But kids β€οΈπŸ˜‚

That aside, the jingle bell Muzak in stores drives me nuts! I guess I'm getting to be a real humbug πŸ˜‚ Its good to hate shopping already and find another excuse to avoid it.

I forgot I was supposed to be racing around at Black Friday sales and hung out at the record store (and parking lot food truck) with a community of calm and groovy people instead. Brought these home. The Charlie Brown album will be great, too! It was fun reminiscing about the *one* show per year we watched the TV Guide for the showing time. Same for Frosty and Rudolph, back when our nation did stuff like that together.

I know a lot of us are busy with all the preps and family but I wanted to just take a minute to share my gratitude for this platform. As a newbie I've been very welcomed here and I'm sure I'm not the only one who hopes the vibe never changes. I'm so grateful for all of the backend work I will never understand, and for those of you who *do*, encouraging folks like me to keep learning and to not give up. I know I will get there. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
