Oh. No. 😳😍😬

I *almost* made it out of there. Coming home: mulberries, goji, and a passionflower for my interior wall of windows.
I very much appreciate the builders here at Nostr and look forward to its benefits for all of humanity. I'm happy to be here and to be learning more about it every day. Thankful for people here who respond to questions to escapees/newbies like me.
I'm not anti-coal at all. I'm pro-clean up your messes so I can fish in clean waters again. I don't think it has to be either/or.
I added Tracy’s Fast Cars song to my sing-out loud-in-the-car playlist many moons ago. It always brings me back to that young ache of mine for freedom and for love. I had no idea who Luke was or that he was singing it as well. I cried during their performance (which was hard to find!). It was so beautiful and made me so grateful to see not only humanity at its finest (did you see her wonderful smile? Or how he mouthed the words with tears in his eyes as she sang?), but there was even a generational love.
I do not think that is rare. I think we’re just brainwashed to believe it is.
Ha! That's totally on point!
This is what it says, so you don't have to follow a link:
When someone says that they are concerned about global warming ask them if they mean:
A.) Cracking down on dirty coal-fired power plants in India & China, forcing Exxon to clean up its production processes, and encouraging the U.S. military to fight fewer wars of convenience.
or
B.) Arresting small farmers, killing livestock, forcing people to eat bugs, imprisoning the working class in 15-minute cities, and shutting off citizens' bank accounts if they disagree with the regime or travel too far to visit grandma.
There are enormous differences between these two scenarios. Yet the environmental promises of scenario A are used to lure people into the dystopian nightmare of scenario B. That's why people are pushing back.
I may or may not have been impatient to fully dissolve my dried espresso for the sourdough donut holes 😋
In other news, I'm outside pruning one tree at a time and getting ready to lay rock to level out my new kitchen garden area (raised steel beds going on top). I've also got my indoor seed starting area almost completely set up; I'll share all that soon.
The world is nuts but spring is still coming. Stay strong 💪
I haven't been to a conventional vet in 🤔🤔🤔 I don't even know how long. So we take a couple of cats for a couple of minor concerns and walk out with a $250 bill which did not include all of the almost $400 worth of vaccines I declined and had to sign wavers for (you only think I'm kidding). When the vet started taking about how they were all FDA approved and therefore had "tons of studies" I think I threw up in my mouth. Now I have to decide to either spay my cat (and follow the rules) or provide more feral cats via the inevitable kittens into the woods 🙄
GM ☕️
I'm happy I got after my peach tree and finally got it pruned and sprayed. It was a mess, neglected and diseased for I don't know how long before we moved here.
But I'm also proud I spent some downtime doodling. Because I have a hard time just relaxing and not letting my goals relentlessly drive me forward. What's the good of meeting goals if I can't take time to just relax now and then? Sometimes I think through things better if I play.
Movie night tonight. And probably more doodling 🖍️
Hope you all are having a good weekend.

Muscle never gets developed without challenge
Some people are just invested in "being hurt" and that actually has nothing to do with you.
So I threw out the cat tree and the cat beds because our cats will only park their bodies in places they aren't allowed to go.
Maybe they're trying to teach me something.
This doesn't look like much. But it is. My 6yo (the baby of nine) just handed her to me, letting me know he's outgrown it and to let someone else play with it. One, I'm proud of him holding things lightly. Two, the growing up thing; it's bittersweet 🥺
Enjoy your babies ❤️
