Did you know that you can make tea from this and it is a mild halucnigen/relaxer? Mine are just now starting to flower. We tried the tea using the leaves a month or so ago. It tastes terrible and we didn't get the effect, but the flowers are supposed to be where all the strength is at.

It is indeed a copperhead. We have lots of them here. They just aren't usually in my garden, 12' from my back door. Aside from building a giant air locked bubble, there isn't anything to keep them out. You just have to keep your eyes WIDE open. 😳
I am so bummed!! This morning this beautiful winter squash was happily hanging out on the ladder. And I was like "I'm going to go in a get stuff to make it a hammock." 58 distractions later, hubby says "Did you know that your squash isn't on the ladder or the vine?" Uggghhh!!! Is there anything I can make with it?

Thanks! I definitely want to taste them this fall. It looks like more work than I am willing to do right now to make anything of substance. I hope you let us know how your harvest goes.
I am interested to see how it goes. This is our first year with a greenhouse and the temperature in there = the face of the sun, even after adding a shade cloth. We definitely need more ventilation. We do have 3 baby pumpkin plants in there that seem happy enough. And nearer the end of summer, I plan to remove some stems from the better tomato plants, sick them in pots in the greenhouse and see if I can extend the season. Do you also have tomatoes growing outside so that you can compare advantages and disadvantages?
What do they taste like? Several places that I used to live had the trees, but I am not aware of any at this property. I may have to look around a little more.
Thanks for the zaps! Are you in growing zone that is too short for tomatoes? Or is there another reason that you chose to grow them in the greenhouse?
My garden cat found this in the garden last night. I am even less enthusiastic about weeding than I was before...if that is possible.
