For a freer society with free individuals working voluntarily. Developer, technology, business, cooperatives, networker, etc. Based in Portugal. https://linktree.com/citizenpedro #europe #portugal #spain I also like Switzerland and think it has by far one of the most voluntaryist systems in the world. The medium is the message. Long live #nostr. Feel free to send messages :)

Hey everyone,

In my view the biggest usage of #nostr for me is to become an alternative to #reddit. A decentralized, uncensored alternative to Reddit also with #bitcoin or #monero incentives, allowing for the content creators to be rewarded for their content.

On that note, quick question, what do you think is currently the best client, web or native, that handles Nostr Communities the best? Satellite is what I use and it's very appreciated but I was wondering if there's something else for Communities?

Thanks!

I think #freedomofspeech is the most important thing in the world.

I think in the recent years the whole world become much more dictatorial because everywhere in the world people have normalized censorship and "hate speech" laws. Apart from the US. In the US you can still say everything and that's incredibly important.

This is why I think #nostr is incredibly important.

What do you think? How important do you think freedom of speech is? Do you think #nostr can save freedom of speech?

Is there a way to make #tor faster so that we can have mainstream #privacy?

Will Tor ever be fast?

What's the easiest, cheapest AND most private way to buy #bitcoin?

Bisq, HodlHodl, or any kind of private wallet?

How private is #nostr?

Could the EU, the US or any jurisdiction ever technically find the IP of the person writing a post on #nostr?

As you know, with Twitter, FB and other platforms, governments all over the world are persecuting people for "hate" speech. I think most people in #nostr are here because in way or the other they think that this specifically is a big slippery slope and that #freedomofspeech is much more important than persecuting people for wrong speech.

I think we all want as much freedom of speech as possible and that's why we're here.

And thus back to the main point, the question really becomes then, how technically difficult is it to find the IP of the person that posted some content? Could the FBI truly knock at someones door for using #nostr?

#libertarianism #liberty

Cheers and thanks!

The issue is, I'm having some "trouble", with converting Bitcoin from a Electrum Wallet to a Lightning Network wallet. That's what I'm interested in doing currently but haven't quite found the best way :)

France has such a high unemployment. I thought it was much lower. I don't think that's a good sign for Europe...

Interesting. That would make it easier to use in the end. At least for a noob user. I like Monero's main client for macOS. It's good stuff, simple, good user interface, safe, private. I think currently it's a bit easier to use than Electrum.

Is there a Monero wallet for the browser for micropayments? aka. Monero Zaps?

I see, so the answer is probably yes it will become much more expensive.

Which means that I really must learn the Lightning Network wallet game. It's just a bit annoying that there's no easy way to convert between BTC and Lighting Network.

What's the easiest way to convert between BTC and Lighting Network? Which wallets do you use?

Noob question.

Will #monero ever have as high fees as current #bitcoin?

For example, a current transaction fee in Bitcoin right now is something like $10. So if I am to send $1 with Bitcoin currently I have to pay something like $10 in fees. With Monero it's cents.

Will Monero, if used x10 more, i.e if XMR becomes $35k instead of $150, will it have the same exact fees as Bitcoin?

How do I export a private key from #nostr to the #alby wallet? It seems like Alby only accepts a Seed key?

Hi there!

Great work with Alby 😉

Is there a way to Import Private Keys instead of just Seed keys?

Thanks!

Is there a way to Export Key as Seed and not just as private key?

Hi there,

Great work with Satellite :)

Have been having some issues with converting private key to a Seed phrase and was wondering if there's an easy way?

Cheers and thanks again!

Yes, absolutely. It's completely uncensorable and the architecture is very open and flexible, with the possibility for it to become anything for anyone. It's truly the closest to a network of the people that we currently have in the world, in my view. And that's just mind-bogglingly beautiful.

I think it will replace Reddit and Twitter in the next few years. It's great technology.

eheh :)

I was reading this [thread](nevent1qqs04gze209wq6pxv54x9mu2qhx6xeu6wkakdn28vxe4n0f49e9v52sppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qgs865x23st85yrj8sj2l207ntr3wrwy6hqqp4lu63cvttk00le6adcrqsqqqqqpuxkrp4) and

[this post on Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/nq98mp/monerotipsbot_is_shutting_down/) today about a guy shutting down his bot because of legal issues (basically he was afraid) and then thought how cool it would be to use this in Nostr and how sad it would be for people to be afraid of governments.

Any #monero users here?
