For a freer society with free individuals working voluntarily. Developer, technology, business, cooperatives, networker, etc. Based in Portugal. https://linktree.com/citizenpedro #europe #portugal #spain I also like Switzerland and think it has by far one of the most voluntaryist systems in the world. The medium is the message. Long live #nostr. Feel free to send messages :)

If you ever feel down and/or not feel connected or engaged in the world, here's what Aristotle thought about you and me:

"Each person functions, according to Aristotle, in a different capacity from another. All occupy different levels of the social strata, each performing tasks that best suit them. As a result, the city (Polis) benefits. For instance, the city thrives when soldiers are the best soldiers possible, farmers are the best farmers possible, rulers are the best rulers possible, judges are the best judges possible, craftsmen are the best craftsmen possible, and so on.

By being the best in whatever life, career, or place in society that you occupy, everyone else also benefits. For example, if craftsmen were bad at their craft and sold products that people need, this would lead to a less functional, less happy, and less well-ordered city. When everyone fulfills their social purpose to the best of their ability, everyone benefits.

This is Aristotle's notion of excellence. Excellence is not only pertinent to the individual but also essential to politics. Good politics fosters virtue or excellence because virtue helps achieve the good life and brings happiness. By being virtuous and excellent in life, happiness is the result. On the other hand, if one is unvirtuous or not excellent at their craft or whatever they do in life, it results in misery for both the individual and others.

Since the polis (city-state) serves to achieve the purpose of happiness as a natural expression of human nature, Aristotle argues for political and social excellence within his works Politics and Nicomachean Ethics. Good politics will necessarily and naturally lead to its citizens cultivating virtue and excellence in themselves and in relation to others.

The state does not cultivate virtue for us; Aristotle argues that we cultivate virtue for ourselves. It is impossible for the state to produce the excellence and virtue that is innate within humans. While good laws can help further that advancement, the cultivation of excellence and virtue is ultimately an individual endeavor. This is better aided by relationships with other people than by the law and the state.

Thus, Aristotle concludes that a city is excellent because its citizens, who participate in the political system, are excellent. By being excellent individuals, we become excellent citizens, which results in an excellent and virtuous politics and polis."

**You are absolutely fundamental in this Polis.**

The only thing is it's hard to see that this is a Polis. But it is (and it will become ever more apparent with time). We're a building a Polis made up of many other Polis. In the end we'll all understand that was the case, I think.

And thus in this sense your work is incredibly value. Your excellence is incredibly valuable.

Keep it up!

Thank you for creating it :) will check it out definitely!

I like this stuff! Will take a look at it :) great job!

The first and only thing we really need is time.

Every time I have a choice to make, I always try to make the choice that will give me more free time in the future.

Living with less, needing less, is key to have more free time.

How much do we really need?

Agreed.

Bitcoin helps with this. Swiss democracy helps defining the lines/incentives for everybody.

The true value is in the middle of meritocracy and opportunity.

I really like the intersection between #bitcoin and #permaculture.

It's like the ever eternal solar punk dream becoming reality step by step.

By the way, did you know that better soil means more nutritious food? Better soil literally means more elements like iron, magnesium, in carrots, potatoes, etc, which then mean more nutrition per carrot, potato, etc. Fruits and vegetables are 50% less nutritious than what they were in the 1950s because of nutrient dissolution (modern agriculture techniques).

Stacking Bitcoin and permaculture will make our brains and wallets stronger and more resilient.

I think in 30 years we're going to have a strong reversal of the autocracy/dictatorship/opression of the current nation state.

By having wealth concentrating its value with Bitcoin, this will allow wealth to be saved more efficiently AND local Bitcoin networks to become a thing.

People that own Bitcoin will always have more power of purchase in relation to other people.

This will allow for better choices, on all levels, philosophically, economically, politically, etc, etc, in our own local networks.

This will change everything.

New political systems and groups will popup all over the world because of this.

It's inevitable.

It's truly incredible how most people don't understand that they are slaves to a system that will never work for them, a currency that is completely fake, immoral, doesn't care about them.

A system that is extractive, destructive, pro-war, where YOU have zero choice. When they call it democracy, both the right and left, you have zero to say about it.

The biggest lie in the world by the elites is that we live in democracies. The only democracy in the world is Switzerland. And it's already drastically different from everything else.

Switzerland, because they have direct democracy, never reached the levels of insanity that most of the western world is going through. Although yes, they're still connected to insane cultures (the market is global, no country is an insland, they're affected by the Fiat madness too).

Bitcoin, direct democracy, projects like https://freevillages.org/ will help create bubbles of liberty, entrepreneurship and direct democracy around the world.

We have to rebuild everything from the bottom-up, starting at small depopulating municipalities around the world.

Hard money and direct democracy.

Hola a todos,

¿Hay gente por aquí? ¿Cómo ven el futuro del país?

¿Qué les parece si empezamos a crear más comunidad, quizás con un #introductions?

US elections are coming up. Thousands of hours used to promote one or the other candidate. Why? Because the power is incredibly centralized. And thus people think or feel that there's too much at stake.

And that's the real problem. Not who's right or wrong.

Did you know that in Switzerland the people can veto any law?

So regardless of who's elected, it doesn't really matter in Switzerland, because the people can veto any law.

That's what solves this problem, the Veto power. And the Swiss have this tool (People's Veto Power) for 150 years now.

Voluntaryism, or in other words, the idea that all interactions between people should be voluntary, is a very simple, powerful and beautiful idea.

Along with the non-agression principle and pacifism, it makes up a very simple frequency that could bring a lot of beauty to the world if people had it in mind more often.

So if there's something that we want to see in the world, we change ourselves, lead by example and thus we voluntarily introduce this idea to the world, without forcing anyone.

But do you think it can be enforceable, technically speaking?

Do you think Europe will ever go into the exit Bitcoin tax or the unrealized tax gains route?

If Europe goes really crazy on anti-Bitcoin do you think it would be enforceable?

And what countries do you see being more pro-Bitcoin?

I'm just wondering if there's really a way to enforce this in the end.
