Might want to check out videos by BTC Sessions on YouTube and the What is Money podcast interviews with Michael Saylor (episodes 1-9). The former provides very specific tutorial style videos for important tools in the space. The latter provides a foundation that answers a lot of basic questions about bitcoin.
Should post details. I have some older electronics I would have serviced.
Love the article and agree with what you said about the debt never being paid back.
But this isn't quite so binary. As a father myself I don't want my kids to be in a worse situation. But defaulting will just sacrifice a different group of people. There are plenty of middle aged people who have NO CLUE about what's coming. I'm related to some. They believe the stories their financial planner tells them about their retirement in 15 years based on their social security payment and the modest growth of their 60/40 portfolio currently valued at $100k. These people aren't rich, have little to no saving, and have worked and saved most of their life. And unfortunately don't have 30 more years to accumulate. How do we prevent them from becoming collateral damage?
If we default, inflation wipes out everything not nailed down. Be ready to be generous if you have any wealth left with those blindsided by this. I think we go back to multi-generational households. Might not be that bad, come to think of it.
Good luck out there.
#grownostr Just started biking. Anyone have a good app which records your rides? Tried Strava - good interface but don't like the subscription model. Any recommendations appreciated.
Can anyone help me understand - Can you get a wallets set of UTXOs from a single address? I hear of privacy concerns with address reuse but cannot connect this with the wallet itself. As I am thinking through, this would cluster inputs to a single output so you know two or more parties transacted with whoever has the UTXO in question. But how does this connect to other UTXOs in the wallet if at all?
Thanks in Advance
Anyone have a secure sms solution now that Signal is no longer allowing testing to non-Signal users?
That looks amazing- is it as easy as heating the fat up?
Currently using Signal for SMS. Signal will stop supporting that function to non-Signal accounts in the near future. Anyone have recommendations on a privacy-preserving SMS service?
**Welcome new Nostriches! How do you find people on Nostr?**
Over the past few days I've seen a lot of people ask this question. They join Nostr, because they near how it's the place to be, the hear it's where the signal is at, but when they get here, they don't hear anything! How do you find people on Nostr? How do you find the signal that we're always talking about?
**Use pre-built lists of power users and signal boosters.**
* https://snort.social/new - This Nostr client comes with a list of Nostr power users to keep your feed always busy and allows you to search for and easily follow all of your Twitter friends.
* https://bitcoinnostr.com - This website consists of Nostr Users that are Bitcoiners. You'll recognize them from Bitcoin Twitter.
* https://nostr.directory - This website contains a vast directory of Twitter, Mastodon, and Telegram users that have connected their Nostr public keys.
* https://nostrplebs.com/directory - On this website directory you'll find familiar faces from Bitcoin Twitter and plenty new faces from Nostr. (Shameles Plug: I founded this Nostr services provider.)
**Find users inside your Nostr client.**
* Hashtags - If your client supports hashtags, I recommend you take a look at #Plebchain. This hashtag comes with plenty of Bitcoin Plebs and Nostr Plebs looking to connect with one another.
* Global Feed - Many clients include the "Global Feed" which allows you to easily find people that you're not already following. (Beware of spam.)
* Global Channel - If your client supports channels, you can check out the Global Channel in your client and new find people looking to chat and learn about Nostr together.
Do you have another way to find Nostr users? Shill it below so that others can find one another. Thanks!
Is there a way to bookmark posts you like?
Not an app store per se. You can upload any software you want if you can package it up. Not a centralized marketplace like an app store. Seen croud sourced builds of apps too which seem a good way of encouraging apps you actually want
