The reason is that Fdroid requires a smaller build while on the GitHub description you'll see only the universal build. Anyways, I didn't test it, but it should work if you download this one

Yes the builds are different, doesn't matter which one, but if you decide to go for the GitHub download way you should stay on that one

Never thought about this but it should be easy to identify whether the list of tagged events belongs to the user or not by looking into the DB, I'll think about this thanks for heads-up!
