Handyman engineer. I bounce from project to project. I'm often called in to do the finishing touches, bringing 90% complete projects over the finish line. I'm good at making disparate systems talk to each other. * Zaps powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsf07zg4hxyccnkdp07fppxmetpfzru3fg6mgzx3nk8r7af8qnjjyg76vulm * On-chain powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2shaefxp *Always Buy the Dip* #privacy #security #linux #Android #networkengineer #infosec #SimpleX #dogs #cats #pets #cooking

This is disgusting. Don Jr and Charlie Kirk bribed homeless people in Greenland to wear a MAGA hat and appear in their propaganda videos, making it look like the people of Greenland were excited for Greenland to become part of the United States. The homeless folks were promised a hot meal in exchange for wearing the hats, and expressing support for Trump's desire to own Greenland. This is textbook propaganda. #blog

Of course, Thomas and Alito were eager to take up the case and protect Trump from the consequences of his actions.

If you're insuring multi-million dollar properties, I suppose it does make some sense to pay for a private firefighting force that can respond extremely fast with the best equipment. Even if a call-out costs you $100k, it's better than having to pay out the full value of the home.

There is. They're mostly employed by insurance companies that insure wealthy homeowners and property management groups.

The Jade is probably the best low-cost hardware signer on the market. It's easy to use, feature-rich, and backed by a highly reputable company in the Bitcoin space. The new Jade Plus also looks really nice, but it largely provides the same functionality as the original Jade. The bigger color screen and updated case are the biggest differences. Therfore, I think its price at 2x that of the Jade is a bit high. I think something in the range of $120-$130 would be more appropriate.

Theories that make sense to some aren't equal to objective evidence that supports every aspect of the situation. The problem with conspiritorial thinking is that it substitutes biased speculation for reason and empiricism, conflating the two as if they were both valid ways of arriving at the correct answer. And often times the conspiracy theorist believes their subjective conjecture is even better than objective facts. It's just not a good way of determining what's actually true.

Time for the Bitcoin yardsale! Prices slashed, all coins must go!

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, and I always look for the likely, plausible explanation before putting my tinfoil hat on. I don't know enough about the details to argue a particular explanation, but what you're apparently proposing is not something I would entertain unless all other explanations were legitimately ruled out, and all the specific evidence supported it. Explanations like this are packed with innuendo and conjecture masquerading as fact, just like every conspiracy theory. So, I'll be waiting for more information before I jump to conspiritorial conclusions.

Derivation paths can be inferred from the key seeds, and you can manually rebuild the rest. But if you can keep track of your wallet seeds you should be able to keep track of your BSMS (wallet config) files.

When I decide to do something, I am perfectionist and must do perfectly. But knowing what's involved in achieving perfection makes me lazy, and loathe to pick up projects to work on.

I mostly agree. But I don't think it's wise to wait until quantum computers can break secp256k1 before devising quantum resistant encryption to protect the blockchain. It seems we know quantum crypto breaking is coming, so being proactive would be the smart strategy for dealing with it.

I'm not a bully and I don't think you are either. I just don't agree with your perspective on this. It's no big deal. 🤷‍♂️

Laughter is the point. I was a class clown, and some may say I still am. I also wrote Ode to a Dirty Tissue, which was just as good, but wouldn't have made the same impact as the Wendy's poem at the recital. I didn't really like the poetry unit, and my offbeat poems were how I successfully navigated the unit and ultimately excelled.

How is your kid doing with the English language and American culture? Must have been a bit of a shock at first.

They are assumption. They're ideas that assume are true based on your firsthand experience and functional biases. It is not objective truth because some of those biases have led you to ignore the behavior and actions of the Apple people while making the behavior and actions of the Android people sharp and distinct. My point is only that you're ignoring half of the story, and at this point denying that that half of the story even exists.

How long have you been over there at this point? You have a family there with you, right? Do they speak English at all?
