I might be behind on this but there's a very cool feature on https://metadata.nostr.com that allows you to pick a relay-per-followee which means you can choose a specific relay to @ someone. Log in to https://metadata.nostr.com, select Contacts, choose your contact and then input your preferred relay. Maybe you can already do this on the client you're using. Maybe not - Such is the way in this here nostrspace.

As you'll see, you also have an option to choose a pet name 😛 But I'll keep the ones I use private 🤓.

Absolutely. It's all very well criticising Likes, and we're all entitled to our opinions, but the bottom line is that those who slate Likes because they're designed only to feed algorithms on behalf of advertisers are perhaps forgetting or ignoring the fact that there are no algorithms to be fed on #nostr. This changes the context(s) within which a Like may be used. I say choose your own usage and set your own context.
