#plebchain say hi to my friend and latest nostrich! #[0]

Both likes and zaps have a cost to the person zapping or liking, the cost is time, but zaps transfer that value instead of burning it.

For some people the time it takes to like a note is worth much more than 1 sat, for most I think it's the opposite.

Other than that I see no difference between them.

Remember, how you think, and what you think, are two different axis to what's going on in your mind, and in the minds of everyone around you:

The left side depicts who is in control, the higher mind (truth seeking, rational), vs. the primitive mind (defensive, tribal)

The right side depicts the rungs of ways of thinking:

1. The scientist - rational, truth and correctness first, regardless of where the idea comes from (side). The scientific method is the most important (how ideas are evaluated).

2. The sports fan - Loves their team (side), and will look the other way unless something threatens the integrity of the sport (how ideas are evaluated).

3. The crooked attorney - Defends their client (side) to the end, but will not blatantly dishonor their practice (how ideas are evaluated).

4. The zealot - Any ideas that conflict with that of their faith (side) are blasphemy. No amount of evidence can change their mind (how ideas are evaluated).

On each of these rungs exist people from all spectrum of all ideologies.

The author explains these concepts much better than I can, check it out:

That Magic Internet Money badge is calling my name sir.

I don't know what the COVID cases were totalling where you are in early 2022 but where I'm from things were about back to normal.

So saying flu cases were down, as well as COVID, is consistent at least.

My two Sats have been spoken.
