Some parts of the world are going to experience dangerous wet bulb temperatures (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet-bulb_temperature) as we continue to heat.

This graphic is an indication where these areas will be. Essentially, at the top end of the heating scale, these places will become uninhabitable as a result of the high temperatures combined with high humidity.

Just to be clear I'm only referring to Vsauce1 on YouTube, not sure what you referring to.

Morality is a set of social agreements that allow a given society to function, different societies in different circumstances value different morals, as different morals convey different benefits.

I consider natural laws to be the ones defined scientifically, that is to say, no matter who tests them, you always reach the same result. Thus they exist by definition.

Fractional reserve banking happens by itself if there are no laws to stop it because the people running the banks are incentivized to do it.

The difference between banking and Bitcoin is that Bitcoin does not try to fight human nature, it uses it to its advantage for the good of everyone involved.

**ACCEPT THAT THIS MESS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY**

I spent the first 37 years of my life in a religious cult, so I understand how people can be indoctrinated to do things they would not otherwise do. Even so, I accept that the things I did while in the cult are my responsibility. They're my fault. I don't do guilt (it's unproductive), but I accept responsibility.

The corrupt financial system is also partly my fault. I supported it, worked with it, helped prop it up. I didn't know any better because I was indoctrinated, but the actions were mine, and I accept responsibility.

(Continues after image)

I got out of the religious cult, and I got out of the Cult of Fiat. I now actively work against such institutions, but it started with accepting that neither would exist if we had all stopped and paid attention to what was being done to us and around us. We didn't ask questions when we should have been.

Many are quick to dismiss personal responsibility. Nothing is their fault. Everything was done to them and that entitles them to wallow in the mire they were thrown into and cause others trouble and everyone has to just put up with it. It's a very fiat mindset.

I like to say that "it's not your fault, but it is your problem." Even if something was done to you that caused you strife and trouble, you're the one that's going to have to deal with it. Many times, though, that starts with accepting the part we played in letting ourselves fall into the trouble or be duped to begin with.

Accepting that is important. It's an opportunity to analyze why we fell for it. If we understand that, we'll be protected from falling for something similar going forward. I guarantee you I will never be in another cult again: religious or secular. I know them all too well.

**So say it with me: I accept responsibility and will never fall for it again.**

If everyone was just a little bit more inclined to question all the stuff we take for granted the world would be such a better place, unfortunately the primitive part of our mind is wired to seek safety in conformity.

I really like the way this book explains the mind traps we all fall into.
