Today I want to share my excitement for reaching 10K sats on the wallet connected to my Nostr key. That is, 10K net, after all the zaps I do. I know it is a very small amount, but on the other hand I am not strictly speaking a content creator. So I cannot even start to descrive the very positive vibes it gives me to have the privilege of participating in this beautiful new world we are creating together, a world where we are all free to recognize each other's value and reward it as we deem right, no strings attached and most importantly no fucking gov in the middle. To see the future shaping in front of my eyes is exhilarating.
Also, my deepest respect and gratitude to all the devs who make this possible. Will try to share the 10K with you all!

I want to #zap you 2,100 Sats!
Good morning #nostr! It has been about a month since I joined and I'm loving "Self-Soverign Social".
My challenge has been connecting with like minded folks, which is surprising because if we are both here on nostr we likley share at least an interest in decentralization and #bitcoin.
So I want to try a little experiment this morning. I have just under 500,000 sats or about $350 in my nostr:npub1flm9yc3vhc3dj036pn3ysl5xwd4f5gyhyjnn9rzehs5mqe9y9ynq6qrg9q account, I want you to help me empty it!
Please follow me (if you are not already) and share this post and I'll zap you 2,100 sats until I run out or have to leave the office. It's about 8:45AM EDT, and I'll be zappin' until at least 3PM (or until I'm broke).
In theory this should yield about 235 paid engaugements, which will hopefully amplify my presance here and help me connect with some like minded folks.
Lets see how it works out, I'll share my results!

Just came back from one of the scientific conferences we organize at work (www.abitarelediversita.org if you are interested). Topic was complexity related to intercultural communicatio/competence. I am very pleased to report that, for the very first time, I've seen some academia with a future-leaning outlook, recognizing some of the real problems and starting to look at the right solutions (decentralization, diffuse knowledge, open source and the like). Might be obvious for many of us here on Nostr, but trust me, it is groundbreaking in academia.
I was particularly pleased to have a conversation with one prominent Italian professor (now retired). One of those we call "barons" in Italy. Well he is starting a lot of open source, decentralized projects and he told me "this is the future of human knowledge!" Anothe one (extremely famous all over the world in his field) decided to stop selling his most famous book to distribute it as CC. Reason? "Knowledge must flow".
There might be hope for humanity after all.
