Yesterday our truck refused to start after shopping at the Walmart parking lot… as it was getting dark we decided to stay the night and take a look at the problem today.
Today I learned how to short circuit and start our truck. 😂✌️

In other news: we fixed the water leak. The boiler has a hole somewhere so I excluded it from the system. No warm water but that’s not an issue for now.
Only problem: for some reason all of a sudden one of our two water pumps started leaking.
Now I have to figure out a way how I can replumb the system to also exclude pump 1. sounds easy but the way it was built originally it’s actually not…
Sometimes traveling full time just plain sucks. 🙄

We have a diesel floor heater that also heats the boiler. Through a heat exchanger we can use the motor heat to also heat the box through the same circuit. The boiler also can be heated via the AC.
Very cool setup in general, unfortunately the boiler is shit. 🙈
Yeah we’ve heard from a fellow traveler with the same system that it just kept breaking in other places. Seems like the wall is too thin to deal with the shaking… so we’ll probably have someone build us the same thing with a thicker wall.
It seems like on day 3 we’ve finally found and fixed our water leak. The boiler apparently has a hole somewhere… short circuited the warm water circuit and excluded and drained the whole thing. Seems to stay dry now.
No warm water but at 35C (95F) outside that’s something we can currently live with… now we have to find someone who can fix the darn thing somewhere. 🙈
Oh well… life on the road…
