Yeahh! We did that, released the EP, hosted a listening party/pop fashion event. All outfits designed and created by Vibes & Styles(My fashion brand)
Today we went out for a photoshoot for the EP cover art, this concept by the creative director was an attempt to tell the story of how Isolation in the studio birthed this project, at a time when nothing else seemed to work music was what I had to fall back on.
“I found my sound” means more to me than just another music project it tells the story of my journey to self-discovery as Gneric!

Yes this is the fashion side of my art, I made this with a blend of leather and Cotton.
I performed as a surprise act on this day and the reception was electrifying 🥰

The difficult part of being an independent artist is that every penny earned is invested in the music and it is not so easy to get support and investments.
Last year I recorded my EP(I Found My Sound) dropped a single from it this year(Road), There is so much more that needs to be done and it is scheduled to drop on the 25th of this month. When my friend handling the release gave me the budget of 3Million Naira which is approximately ($2,000)

I had nothing on me but a bag of dream but nothing will stop me(I told myself)
My Fashion Business has been my source of livelihood and so far with it I have covered mix and master, cover art for the first single off the EP, 1 podcast and 1 short form video content.
Why am I telling all of this here on Nostr? I don’t know, just sharing my journey and hoping someone, somewhere will hear my music and believe in me enough to support this dream.

Update!
We fix the date for the Listening Party!
It will be happening on the 27th of April, we spoke to the management of a lounge called Taticana lounge and they agreed to let me use their space for a lesser charge I am excited about this!
Also what do you guys think about the flyer design for the next single off the EP?
