Try to work more with #hashtags. Or else your notes will get lost in the void..
The difficult part of being an independent artist is that every penny earned is invested in the music and it is not so easy to get support and investments.
Last year I recorded my EP(I Found My Sound) dropped a single from it this year(Road), There is so much more that needs to be done and it is scheduled to drop on the 25th of this month. When my friend handling the release gave me the budget of 3Million Naira which is approximately ($2,000)
To cover
- Mix and mastering
- Listening party(We have been calling on a LOT of favors for this)
- Merch
- Cover arts
- Video content
- Radio placements
- Social media ads
- Podcasts/Interviews
- Photoshoots
Etc
I had nothing on me but a bag of dream but nothing will stop me(I told myself)
My Fashion Business has been my source of livelihood and so far with it I have covered mix and master, cover art for the first single off the EP, 1 podcast and 1 short form video content.
Why am I telling all of this here on Nostr? I donβt know, just sharing my journey and hoping someone, somewhere will hear my music and believe in me enough to support this dream.
Please stream Road and share if you can π€ every form of support is appreciated

Discussion
Asides #asknostr what are the best hashtags to use?
Got fountain and Wavlake, setup my profile and trying to understand how to get my music on there
Fountain and wavlake suck, I just post music directly on nostr like this while we wait for a decentralized service to pop up https://audio.nostr.build/653775b3a601c6e3baab02f3eab9c2800fa90d78fdcb9f2106d53f417d88c98c.webm
Ohhh this is so cool! Are you able to see the listening analytics ?
Nope, no analytics here
Primal or nostr.build could add some though π€
Okay, so I just checked trying to make an audio post but I only see video and pictures, pardon me I am quite new to this platform and donβt know how to upload the audio directly
Do you use web clients? Or only local apps
I use mobile app
If you're on Android you can use Firefox with nos2x-fox to try web clients that might do a better job handling file types like mp3
