The general Vibe around Bitcoin is that the best wallet is Cold Card but how does everyone feel about nostr:npub1jg552aulj07skd6e7y2hu0vl5g8nl5jvfw8jhn6jpjk0vjd0waksvl6n8n Jade ? If I can save $100 and be 99% as secure I don't mind that trade off
The safety features on more expensive hardware wallets are unmatched, but not everyone is dealing with large funds, highly dangerous threat models, or even have to regularly engage with the hardware wallet.
If you are doing any of those three, I would highly recommend spending the money. Otherwise that should do swimmingly.
Never used it, but you get what you pay for. I’ve heard some people say they wouldn’t want to use it with anything substantial. There’s just no sense in sacrificing UX on a cold storage device that holds your saving.
I personally love the nostr:npub1s0vtkgej33n7ec4d7ycxmwt78up8hpfa30d0yfksrshq7t82mchqynpq6j signer. Has camera, can have many wallets on one device, big screen, easily make several backups, etc. you won’t regret it. Great UX.
Cypher punks really like Coldcards though. They are great signers and have come out with some new options recently.

I think it has to do with derivation path. If I remember correctly sparrow wallet lets you customize your derivation path to recover any wallet. There are others with much better knowledge about this subject than me.
It’s basically a difference in setups between wallets that prevents plug and play recovery.
It should be seamless on trezor though. Then move to foundation or coldcard for a better experience.
