Will say this every day if I have to: people are not nearly angry enough over what happened the last three years and what is happening now. They are trying to take away free speech, STILL giving away your money to arms manufacturers and drug companies, no matter the harm both have caused.

Good luck going door to door getting BTC from people with multi-sig setups in more than one jurisdiction, multiple accounts with different passphrases, when you don’t even know what or if they have any.

And even if that did start to happen, people would move their holdings to complex multi-sig, multi-jurisdiction where it’s untouchable via violence en masse.

And that’s assuming people with resources didn’t organize to defend themselves which they also would.

I’m not against gaming out some worst-case scenarios for which to prepare, but the baseline should be — how am I going to impose my will on the corrupt and unjust state, not how is it going to exploit and dominate me.

Too many people hiding their views behind anonymous handles and six VPNs. If I were the ruling class, I’d want my adversaries (freedom-seeking people) to be as terrified as possible. The last thing I’d want is for them to stand up and openly defy my plans.

Yes, I don’t think they know what any of it really means. They’re just repeating slogans to express emotions. I’d say reach out to the left by letting them know they can eliminate the banking middleman and bank the unbanked. Maybe they will support it. Then one day, the government won’t be able to fund all the bullshit, but their own lives will be better, given improved conditions, less squandering of wealth, and they can tell their kids how they helped bring about the revolution that toppled the corrupt elites. And they won’t be entirely wrong.

But the people opposing BTC haven’t thought it through to this extent. They just think it uses too much energy or enables criminals. The left won’t oppose it because it threatens government. They might even adopt it because it banks the poor. Let them find out for themselves!
