Hi #plebchain #lightning #bitcoin
How do I know if my lightning node is properly configured for other nodes to open channels with it?

Mo Salah, Mo Salah!
Darwin!!!!!!!!!
I am cluelessly setting up a lightning node for learning. I have n00b questions:
Who should I open channels with?
Do I want balanced capacity on all channels? Or is there utility for creating inbound on some outbound on others?
Does UTXO size affect channel efficiency?
What are the biggest risks in opening channels?
I find the single relay global view to be a nice relief from notification hell. Just stop and have a conversation with who is around at the moment.
Well, if they talk about network centralization, stability, and undeliverable features, everyone will just get up, leave, and empty their bags.
I have come to the realization that Charlie Munger’s proclamation that “Bitcoin is rat poison” is actually pretty accurate. Bitcoin is dangerous to these rat 🐀 fiat currencies and the governments who use them to finance their immoral wars and enslave their people.
What is hope for freedom to us is poison to their very 🐀 way of life.
I used to think Charlie didn’t understand bitcoin, but now I think he understands it quite well, and he is rightfully scared.
Should we blame our children and grandchildren? Since they are the ones who will pay for these wars?
Once the veil has been lifted, it is impossible to ignore the psyops.
*backtest
Been playing with Wabisabi and Whirlpool, how do you backrest backtest the resulting UTXOs
Out here fiat mining and all I really want to do is create on Nostr.
2TB is more than sufficient for data storage. Key issue for running a relay service for many users are the server CPU/RAM specs:
My relay server is a virtual private server (VPS). It has:
4x CPU cores
16GB RAM
1TB data storage (NVMe)
1TB monthly network bandwidth
My yearly cost is ~420€
Relay membership cost is about 1.75-2.00€, so my break even is around 210 new users yearly.
