I held myself back from reading it for years because I wanted to do in depth study on it. I'm a huge reader in general, so now I just try to think of it as a library. I pick whatever book I want to read and read it until it's done. One day I might study it, but for now I just like to read it!

The folk song comes from an older version in Allan Ramsey's Scottish Miscellany, called "Slighted Nancie." I believe another version is called "Seven Braw Gowns."
The first verse & chorus are:

It’s sorta a song about the internet and sorta song about faith, or rather, trying so hard to prove reasons for faith (to yourself or others) that you wind up missing things along the way. I guess #nostr doesn’t have a good way for me to upload a video like this yet. Every app seems to favor little clips instead of long enough videos for whole songs. TikTok is all about short videos.
