Did a few miles ruck first in the Buxton Woods. No wind and temperature in the low 50s. Then decided to check out first Jetty to see how the storm is starting off. There were gusts that I saw just over 30 miles an hour but hard to capture on a handheld weather station. But I did get just over 25 miles an hour from the north captured. Air temp on the beach is in the mid 40s. The surf is a mess

My last crop of hot peppers just came out of the fermenter. Gonna be a crazy mix of hot hell. Blended, sent through the food mill. Will dehydrate the pulp and grind to a fine powder. Will add only a small amount of vinegar since the fermentation made it's own. Thinking of adding maple syrup and a bit of rum to finish the sauce

Which radio are you using?

I have used a similar light for powering an ESP8266 using wifi for water testing for my outdoor hydroponics. Works well. I had the ESP sleep and wake up every 15 minutes to send water temp and EC to an API I had written on a web server to store in SQL Server.

A younger me would be out there with no hesitation. Waves aren't huge but breaking right on The Sandbar. Would be interesting on a longboard but much more suited for a short board. Air temp in the mid to upper 40s wind out of the West. I'm sure a lot of the surf crew will get a few good waves this morning. I wish I didn't have to work

We are setting up a mesh network using the T-Beam Lora devices and Meshtastic for comms during outages. We have had multiple full scale communication blackouts (including 911 service). And we are in hurricane prone area. So, this works great and they are low power.

On the south side of the point. Wind has picked up and is out of the Southwest. As swell out of the southeast. Water temp in the mid 50s. Air temp well into the 60s.

You can see old marshland starting to get uncovered in the surf. Probably marsh that used to be on the backside of the island a long time ago.
