How do you know the relay you connect to is legit, because of TLS/ DNS? Can relays sync with each other, so am I posting to mulitple relays just to post and ensure my post are seen by the mulitple silos?

So nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 does also run a relay but the client (the app) and relay function completely independently.
The Nostr protocol doesn't have a way to natively store or send binary data, like photos, videos, etc. so there are other services like nostr.build or void.cat that have specialized to handle that aspect for apps. So Damus, Snort, etc. all use on of these services when you upload a photo.

Thanks... so the relays only hold text, how much text can each post be? I'm assuming this is like a blockchain / lightning ... so there are copies of this message all over the place.
Has someone made a slack replacement using nostr? If we could orangish in channels with only the needed users, that would be powerful.
(We need spellcheck to stop changing nostr to nostrils)
I used Umbrel and Citadel , but it was manual to setup the channel and balance, kind of a pain …
