Plebian.

haha yeah. I had the same feeling some hours ago. Hive mind? :D

Yeah it was truly great. I will give the Netflix seasons a go. Mr Lahey carried the series in many episodes. Hard to imagine that the same feeling would be present without him.

Thats's great! I haven't watched the show since season 7. Are the ones produced on netflix any good? Sad that John Dunsworth passed away. Cannot imagine how the show could move on without him. He was a rock for sure.

Haha, I recall watching this episode. When the "well, that depends.." part came up, I was taking a sip of water and ended up laughing so hard that water came out of my mouth and nose. I was not ready for that delivery to say the least!

I totally agree with the Szabo reference. His "Shelling Out: The Origins of Money" really changed my perspective on money in general. A real eye-opener for sure.

On the positive side, Sapiens was well written I must say. Easy to digest. But if he got money "wrong", what else is wrong? In his defense, it must be hard to cover human history in one book.

Glad that Nakamoto Institute is still online so I can re-read some of Szabos work now and then.

What web-app do people use to browse nostr? I've tried snort and iris. I kinda like snort better. But maybe there are better alternatives?

#nostr

No but they provided the obligatory JUST IN. Next one will be BREAKING. 😃

Ah, yes! I just remembered now that I read "The Bitcoin Standard" just before reading "Sapiens". Clash of two world for sure.. :D

One thing I've noticed on #nostr. There seems to be a much much nicer climate. People actually discuss with each other and helping each other out. I think that's why over the years I got more and more distanced from twitter. I guess this will change when more users arrive, but in the meantime I will try to get the most out of it. 😄

Sapiens. Everyone around me talked about that book and I got so disappointed in the end. Especially the money part in that book. Like, if he writes about money in that way, what else is he uneducated in? I cannot remember what exactly he got wrong, but something was off for sure.
