Now if you want to run grapheneOS, yes, they only support Pixel devices.
I find all the ‘my OS is more private than yours’ a bit of a larp.
Network-level control makes choosing an OS pretty much pointless. A LineageOS phone still connects to towers. The SIM is still linked to your ID. The carrier still logs your location data and can cut off service if they want.
That’s why VPNs over cellular, data-only eSIMs paid with btc or mesh networks like Meshtastic become really important. The device OS is just one part of the picture. If you’re not protecting your network-level identity and traffic, you’re already in trouble.
In India’s case the law links your SIM number to your ID and makes the app track IMEI numbers at the network level. So hopefully you bought your android without having your identity attached to the purchase in any way!
And don’t you mean Pixel users, they are the only phones that have the no bootloader unlock restrictions. So no not ALL android users can say GFY.

For me it highlights not only that the money is broken but industry in general. When producers and merchants can transact directly, consumers benefit. Particularly true for the food/ beverage industry.
