Sitting in a waiting room and people are all looking at their phones instead of staring into space like a moron.
What morons.
You can’t expect tech that can survive attacks from any nation state to also succeed instantly
So I’ll reiterate my point that powerful bitcoin ETFs are probably the best although not great option if you want bitcoin to have some power at the centralised bargaining table
Bitcoin also has the double early-adopter problem for nation states in that not only does it make other states look bad and be less competitive if your country adopts it, it also makes it harder for the new state to raise taxes through skimming transactions like vat or gst, or by printing money, both being necessary at the moment to defend yourself from invasion by jealous legacy fiat states. Hence my wish is probably just a wish for now
It’s like saying everyone has heard of atheism, so why isn’t everyone an atheist, or everyone has heard of a type 3 civilisation, so why aren’t we one yet? These things are a combination of letting go of old beliefs (which some people refuse to do, so generations literally have to die before things change), technological progress and changes in existing power structures and incentives for those in power who the new system would displace, who are going to fight to keep their power despite what is best for humanity overall (if they even have the perception to see that).
Not everyone heard about bitcoin the day Satoshi released the whitepaper
Because we’re not a collective consciousness that can convert from hundreds of moneys to bitcoin instantly?
And I’d go further and say that the French prosecutor does have some pretty robust provisions to rely on there and probably won’t have to work too hard to get a conviction.
People can wail and cry all they want but unless Telegram showed either a willingness to provide chats when asked or else made an effort to restrict access to Telegram in France then there’s not a lot his lawyer can say
Well I am a lawyer (not a French lawyer) and morality and right to privacy aside my legal opinion is that he was pretty naive not to expect this to happen.
Imagine a country where you could go and buy or sell bitcoin, ether or monero in almost any fiat currency… in cash, legally, and unidentifiably.
Low skills and low motivation🙋♂️
Who says I need a thesis?

It gets to a point where people in institutions have to actually display the credibility and character expected of them for those institutions to be as worthwhile as their advocates and employees claim them to be. You can’t ride on reputation alone forever
I’ll hear you out. Go for it
I’d be up to watch anything you were willing to cam
