But man... cops being sent to prison for five years for just being there when George Floyd absolutely had three times the lethal dose of Fentanyl in his system. That dude would have died if he was watching TV. How are we all supposed to pretend like that big drug addict didn't die of Fentanyl when he had three times the lethal dose?

Eat atleast 1 pound of beef a day. Everyday. Avoid plant proteins. They are all shit. All of them. do 20 to 50 pushups, and 20 to 30 squats a day every other day. Walk a mile three times per week. Sprints are better . But not necessary. And you will look better than 90% of the population after two years. You won't look like the gym bro who spends six hours a week in the gym. But you will never look like a giant wet pussy either. It's that easy.

When I set out to be a software developer there was a lot I didn't know. People told me the pay is good, job security is good even though you might get laid off from time to time. True things.
But what people didn't tell me was how little you'll likely be able to travel. You can write code anywhere. And so they don't need to fly you anywhere.
Additionally for tax reasons you can't usually work in another country. Atleast not for more than 1 months.
Actually working in IT support or infrastructure usually allows more travel.
Writing code seemed to have the most prestige. So that's what I picked. But really that's not even true if all code writing.
So kids, before you do 5,000 leat code questions and work for big tech as a code monkey, ask yourself if you want to travel. And think about other tracks that would have a higher possibility of that

I think this is a strange attitude we in the west have developed. For most of history, children were the retirement plan. You needed them to take care of you. So the idea of them paying rent just didn't make sense. They were helping you farm or produce food, goods. So I think this attitude is not wrong but it's not complete. A family supports each other. Not just oneself.
