You could do that with VPN port forwarding or tailscale, no? I think Cloudflare is bad for privacy in general, they can see end users HTTP requests in cleartext and often times does not work with VPNs or Tor

I used to think the opposite, you have a good point

I think it would depend on how much is charged (and how ubiquitous ecash is, obviously) but it could simply be a symbolic anti-spam amount.

Speaking of Tor, Cloudflare prevents me from accessing many sites when I use it

Sure, some sites may be okay with PoW and others want to monetize traffic

what's the solution to spam and bots?

Someone at nostr:npub1exv22uulqnmlluszc4yk92jhs2e5ajcs6mu3t00a6avzjcalj9csm7d828 decided to show a "critical error" alert when the app can't reach servers after n attempts.

Except that people often voluntarily go offline. Maybe worth rethinking that one ๐Ÿ˜„

Can't wait for the day that ecash replaces Cloudflare

A frying pan transfers heat therefore a mint transfers money

It's very specific to countries/areas. I find on average the environment in the U.S. is more toxic than in Argentina. Probably worse quality food, water and air.
