It's really hot so I tried to put mt laptop to sleep by closing the lid while I wasn't using it. But it didn't work. So I told it explicitly to go to sleep on the off button, and then I checked a bit later and it was on again 🤨

Now I told it to go to sleep, unplugged it and am leaving the screen open so I can tell instantly if it tried to wake up again!! 😠🤣

Would she complain if you made a 20 min dinner now?

So, you get the time you want in the morning, and well as breakfast, and then you get to spend as much time as you like on making amazing dinners.

She gets to decide on breakfast, what to eat and how long she'll spend on it, so then she has free time to get ready and do what she wants the rest of the day, and enjoy your delicious dinners.

Sounds like you're both getting what you want.

She focuses on quick breakfasts so she gets more time for other things, and you focus on quality dinners, so you have a great meal. 😊 sounds like a win win to me.

Me in the middle of something and all of the sudden I hear Swedish coming from my husbands laptop.

It also puts skepticism into other areas that are clearly fiat driven, like food and "healthcare".

The " " on healthcare is because I'm now questioning how much they really care about health, vs making a weird profit for someone else while destroying the people they should be helping to feel better.

We tried giving our some pill fully wrapped in some food, and shortly after, the food was gone and the pill was on the floor 🙄

There was one time my cat got some medicine in a syringe to eat, and every day, she was not happy about it, until she tasted it, and then she wanted more than what she was given. Lasted maybe a week, but each day, the same struggle!

So, I can see why just coming with water can end in pain for the humans!

Of course not, it's called retail therapy, right? And if they go to real therapy they're told they have anxiety and now the world needs to accommodate them, instead of actually getting help. (Or at least that's how some of them seem to do it) so in order to feel good, they buy stuff.

They don't think about the future, because they've been told there's no way they can get what they actually want, so they spend all their money on stuff now.

These tariffs will expose how much of American products have at least partial Chinese things in them. Lots of items don't disclose this, but I've been wanting to know.

If these tariffs stick around for 6 months or so, anything where the price stays basically the same does not include Chinese parts, while everything that goes up drastically, do.

I say 6 months because some people might have left over parts that are already in the county and thus not subject to the tariffs.

I heard someone complaining about how a woman's body changes while she's pregnant.

First of all, everyone's body is constantly changing.

Secondly, a woman's body was created to change during pregnancy, it's literally built for it! It's not a BAD thing, it's actually a GOOD thing!!

It's spectacular and amazing and incredible.

No her body won't look the same after, but neither does it as she ages, which she does every day anyway.

I'm so happy to have encountered Nostr and the bitcoin community who see pregnancy and babies as GOOD!

He also wore a gun on his hip.

Somehow the combination of those two, with the somewhat apathetic facial expression conveyed the message of, "If you don't shut up, I might use my gun to shut you up!" 😬😅🤣

But he was at work in a tire repair shop, so it seemed minimal conversation might be acceptable. 🤣🤣🤣

Awe, you seem to have found a great and encouraging wife, or else she would have only seen one and then no more. So the fact that you show her a page every now and then is a good indicator. 😃

I once got a zap on a week old post. I felt known. It was also a really big zap, but even if it had been a normal one, it didn't come across as creepy to me. I had already interacted with that person though, but I don't think it would have mattered.

I've heard others talk about feeling weird about it, but usually it was on someone's profile that they liked romantically, but hadn't really talked to yet.

If it's not romantic, I don't really see the creep factor. It's more of an encouragement because someone liked something I wrote.

But having written books might help with my perspective because I want people to read my first book even after I've written 5 more. (I'm working on book 3 now)
