The future just keeps getting less and less predictable.

I think we are approaching “all bets are off”.

Is the intention to steer more towards notes and less towards other stuff?

Feels like there is a lot of thought spent specifically on the nuances of Twitter clone backends.

A lot of the clients merely copy the formulaic design and layout of Twitter.

Increasingly the community is interesting but the tech differentiation at times fades into a soup of Not-Twitter,-Twitter.

Do we really need to look backwards?

I understand the “if it works, it works” argument, but if it truly works why recreate it in the first place?

Would be great to see true diversity, and a protocol that is simple enough and light enough to support that.

LK-99 will not be the material that is mass produced as an RTSC.

What LK-99 is, is a working example of an entirely new theory for predicting superconductivity.

Once the new theory is fully developed, it seems likely it will point to a bunch of RTSC’s.

It’s a race to develop the theory, confirm the best material, grab the feed stock supplies, mass produce it and build stuff.

It’s a world record for a zero resistance measurement at ambient pressure.

The material remains heterogeneous and the new superconductor hypothesis is not understood. Lots of weird and unexplained but positive observations, such as magnetic field sensitive resistance.

There’s a big fairway to play.

The flat Fermi energy bands are now the leading hypothesis and institutions are discussing how to optimise and control doping.

First ZERO resistance measurement is in but not at room temp.

Occurred at -170°C

But the also observed a second resistance mode around 250°K.

Personally I think enrichment for Pb-207, precious metal doping (rather than copper) and resistance directionality are going to become factors. Material seems to have a bunch of complex behaviours that are still not isolated by the labs.
