A few AI lawsuits are getting interesting, particularly around copyright and who owns a model that is trained on copyrighted data. 🧑‍⚖️

Back in 2016 I spent 12 months negotiating with a very well known blue chip company (market cap $210B), and I managed to persuade them to accept that my startup owned the models that we trained on their most commercially sensitive data.👩‍💼

This came with many conditions attached, but they did allow us to own these models.👨‍💻

I very much doubt such a deal would be entertained today. ☠️

X is a bank, in which case it makes sense to run on nostr.

Open source is now pushing Llama2 to 128,000 tokens. 🫠

Meanwhile OpenAI is reserving 32k for Enterprise customers only? 🤣

Sama desperate for bag holders.😵‍💫

Global monopoly to obsolete in three fiscal quarters! 💩

Argentina seems stuck in a perpetual cycle of currency failure. At what point do the people there ditch fiat and demand hard money?

“I have consulted with Leader McConnell and conferred with his neurology team. After evaluating yesterday’s incident, I have informed Leader McConnell that he is medically clear to continue with his schedule as planned,”

- Dr Brian Monahan, Capital Physician

I’m curious… how many of the medically fit folks on nostr have their own “neurology team”?

It’s even worse than I imagined.

If that were the case, why do they bother having the vessel?

What the hell is with this latest trend in US politics where a bunch of shadowy lobbyists / NGO’s will target political party members on the brink of senility, and groom them into taking over their entire professional function / back office like some kind of parasitic larvae?

Literally I am seeing zombie politics. 🧟‍♂️

Does nobody else see this? Many of the victims are so old and frail they need help to just stand at a lectern. Their legacies are destroyed as they monotonically spout politics from autocues that are often diametrically opposite to the beliefs they advanced in their early careers.

Are audiences really so unthinking that they just swallow this stuff… Familiar face, familiar name, must be OK?

I hope this trend never comes here. 🇬🇧

It’s starkly obvious plutocracy and Americans don’t seem to have any kind of radar for it?

Super weird.

The great paradox of great protocol.

Years ago, I used to always have an A1 square ruled flip chart pad on my desk, would put my keyboard and mouse on top of it and would just scribble all over it all day and then throw the page in the bin at the end if the day/week.

I might try this again actually because it was fantastic for productivity. 🤓

Great for finding the zone and locking it in for most of the day. Just scribble each train of thought and you can always map back 2-3 hours with god like clarity.

Does anyone know where i can buy unbranded footwear?

Is that a thing?

This week, with the Met Police story, we had another example of why you should NOT create big centralised database of personal information.

Incalculable damage? Just hire someone on £48k to protect the system. 👍
