What would cause a liquidity crisis if the world were on a bitcoin standard?
The reason it’s necessary today is because banks, businesses, and individuals are all forced to short the dollar by hoarding illiquid assets at the lowest interest rates possible.
That works fine until that shorted dollar gets too misallocated into an unsustainable bubble.
On a bitcoin standard, you’re shorting those previous illiquid assets.
Same argument for quantum computing if that eventually broke everything.
Like your dad, if that’s someone’s concern then work to build a life where you have no need for a monetary system.
