Ah yes, i bought the sage oracle a while ago so my gf gets to enjoy fairly easy cappuccinos but i immediately bought a df64 gen2 grinder with it myself so i can single dose 18g of beans and get consistent shots all the time.

The grinder on the oracle is not horrible but the output with auto-tamping varies by 4g from what i have measured and that makes a big difference on flow.

Nice.

You made something custom that makes it so hard? I usually need max 4 shots with new beans to dial it in, only tuning the grind size.

I too wandered down and kinda mastered the sourdough path. But it's too many carbs for me so i stopped making it.

I've been doing the same thing for a couple of years. I don't know if you're an egg person but i also stamp the reusable egg cartons from my local farmer.

What i've learned from other huge fails by huge companies is that they probably get a "bad company, continue as if nothing happened." And nothing changes..

Take Volkswagen for example. They intentionally cheat the system, fast forward 5 years and i really see no difference in the amount of new cars being sold by them nor did anybody and up in jail or anything.

Same goes for any banks when it comes to money laundering or big pharma when it comes to addictive drugs.

Here's some other suggestions:

Google chrome: librewolf

Gmail: self hosted (though it's a steep uphill battle)

Google search: searx

I don't see how it could. To me the main problem of paying with gold is that it is rather hard to divide gold into usable pieces. Or if you want to "consolidate" your gold "utxo's", so you don't cary a bunch of gold dust in your pockets, requires you to invest into an oven or something.

While this significantly hampers gold's usabilty for a transaction we have already proven that with bitcoin, this is not the case. People can try to force it in the "digital gold" direction yet there are already many tools in place that will allow people to hand out small pieces of it anyway.

The genie is already out of the box, anybody can theoretically use it and accept it so i think the train is way past the "digital gold" station.
