Bitcoin is the hope. Ignore reality if you wish.

So, the economy is kind of fucked. US, but it's all tied up globally. It's not just houses this time, it's credit cards and loans record high with very low spending. Just save what you can. If you're comfortable, prepare for tight times. If your payday to payday, cut everything you can and save, in bitcoin would probably be safer. If everything turns out fine the worst case is you saved. I expect propping up till after the election, if they can.

Other social media works just fine for them. It has people and they are happy. They don’t care about the same things we care about.

For nostr to win social, it has to offer a magnitudes better experience or be ok with slow and continuous growth with incremental improvements.

To build better experiences we have to discard bitcoin and zaps from consideration of what makes a good social app. Yes, it’s better with zaps but we have to remember many people simply don’t care about bitcoin, lightning, any of it. What they will use as the measurement criteria is the network effect, and the social experience (how awesome it is, if it’s fun, addicting etc)

People are selfish no matter how you slice it. We do everything in our best interest, to feel good in the moment, long term, avoid pain and discomfort.

Never heard of #anytype before. It's scope looks too broad and I don't see much of interoperability. Better just to stick to the #unix philosophy of "do one thing and do it right". Plain text files will outlive us all.

Hmmm… Today might easily be the first day that I live 100% on income generated online from the previous day. Income that cannot be stopped or censored, and also which is about creating & publishing totally what I want to, NOT being the product! :-)

It’s not #Bitcoin and with another account, but gotta be practical to eat! Also I’m sure that Bitcoin & Nostr will catch up with other platforms inside of a few years!
