I'm not sure if this is true. I would bet there's some overlap in the codebase. If so, I'd say when you redesign a whole codebase and use some of it as it was originally, that still counts as a fork.
Same. The only reason I'll be watching Trump's whole talk is to see how my bingo card turns out
But nostr has multiple blockchains implemented in multiple ways...
There's fully-implemented blockchain based time-stamping for when you want to make extra sure you can prove when you posted something
There's garnet with its built in Monero wallet
Idk what else
Just tried nostr:npub1h0uj825jgcr9lzxyp37ehasuenq070707pj63je07n8mkcsg3u0qnsrwx8, a secure chat client built on nostr that uses the Signal double ratchet encryption algorithm. It's incredibly smooth.
Someone sent me ecash in the chat and I received it in what felt like 20ms, just like that. Each message you send pays 1 sat to the nostr relay operator to protect it against spam.
THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN !!!

1 sat for every message is expensive enough to suppress legitimate users who are just financially poor. Needs to be about an order of magnitude cheaper imo. A spam filter cheap enough to let all legitimate users through might also let the most dedicated spammers get some stuff through too, but that's the right balance
Good self-description. Nice to have some idea of who you are now since I see you around here 🤙 didn't quite see all the pieces of the story before
"Source-available" is bare minimum of what Satoshi was talking about
"Open source" is better because it means open licensing in addition to publishing the code
These charts also don't conveniently indicate percentage 🤔
I'm so used to BTC layer 2 being sus, I forgot there's nothing inherently cryptographically wrong with the concept of a layer 2
Notice how that site doesn't even have a BTC/DOGE chart...
They only show it as DOGE/BTC

The year is 2040. Hawk Tuah Girl has just won the New England Presidential Election as a write-in candidate while ruling over the United States of South America as supreme empress
Yeah it's cool that nostr's censorship resistance has reached the point where even Monero folks can talk without being censored by the Bitcoin maxis that created nostr

Got a business?
Want to earn Monero?
Get it listed here.
Accepting XMR as payment is cool but using cryptocurrency for the vast majority of the company treasury is what's actually needed
A man might not understand that being in the lift makes a difference because women seem to feel trapped by the need to choose a response every time they get hit on anywhere at all
Not without knowing if digit is safe. Best I can do is wish you an anxious birthday where what you're anxious about turns out good in the end
To be clear on what my last reply means: having BTC as your only payment method means you're probably not getting my money
If someone is wasting a lot of the money they receive on bitcoin transaction fees by having no other wallet address, they clearly have more than enough money & don't need mine
No lol nothing forces me to give money to anyone
I don't even file taxes, let alone feel pressured to share with every wallet address I see
USD
It had secure online credit card payment forms using cryptography on Amazon or whatever before Bitcoin, I bet
And before "crypto folks" meant Bitcoin traders, it meant spies. USD is the currency of the deep state. The US has a huge spying apparatus worldwide funded by USD, and American spies do coups in foreign countries and stuff to prop up USD and keep American control over oil to power the "petrodollar"
USD was the original "crypto-currency"
I'm suffering deeply as I type all this
I'd say it kinda is. It's like decentralized censorship if that makes sense. I think it's part of why it's so essential for humans to have others we can trust
Makes me think of the term "Overton window" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overton_window
