The home and meaningful btc work might take longer to get than the car, partner, and bitcoin
What the fuck are you talking about?
Bitcoin is a much better base unit than Uncle Sam Dinobux (USD)
But dogecoin has much stronger performance expectations for about the same level of stability, and silver has about the same performance expectations as Bitcoin with a much deeper level of stability
Bitcoin is about on par with gold, which has much worse performance expectations but still about the same level of stability as silver
So you're seeing "like comment tag two friends and share this note to..." type stuff on a reddit type platform in the nostr ecosystem? I doubt it, I assume you're talking about the twitter type part of nostr
But the "version of nostr that's based on reddit" I mentioned doesn't exist yet, people only pretend it does. If you're seeing that type of stuff on nostr's version of so-called "reddit" that's because it isn't based on reddit to the extent of having the actual functionality which resulted in reddit's content quality back when it was good
Fym? Nostr is literally based on Twitter
Use a version of nostr that's based on reddit if you don't want to see Twitter type shit
Maybe letting humans do transcriptions for tips could be cool
Not searchable without AI transcription and I'd rather just type things and read things humans have typed
I had no idea how bad it was until finding out that my friends in Asheville haven't been in contact with anyone since 7:30AM.
We suspect they are ok and we know that my best friend is out with the search and rescue crew in the area, but his wife is at home with a small baby without power and hopefully with enough supplies to make it through. But the whole area in Western NC looks awful and we have no idea how long before they can even be reached. I've tried to collect as much as I can quickly for what's going on.
Blowing Rock and Boone, NC have been hit seriously bad, we literally go there every year, its one of our favorite places in the world.
Chimney Rock has been essentially wiped out and there is still danger of the Lure Lake dam breaking, but so far it seems to have held even though the water is flowing over it. I haven't heard anything new from that and hopefully the biggest danger is past now.
My friend's parents are trapped in Black Mountain, NC (not far from Asheville) but we've gotten word from them they the road has been destroyed and they are trying to figure out how to get to my friend's wife and get out, but it seems there are no roads accessible. It's all just an asstounding mess.
A lot of these places literally have just one or two roads in and out of them, and it seems like main accesses all over the place have just been decimated. Praying for these guys.
There is a gofundme that is specifically regarding efforts in Boone for anyone who wants to donate. If you zap these posts I'll pay it forward to them if you want to use sats.

I would like to see more people displaced in Florida than Lebanon, personally. Any adults in Florida should have left by now
Only Israel and the US would be dumb enough to assassinate Nasrallah just for him to be replaced with Safieddine
It's called being a subhuman psychopath
I'm out of ways to try to reach Digit so I might as well try to help make a better place for her in case she ever shows up again.
I hope to see him in good spirits.
Dogecoin real too
How do you know it's even a frog and not a toad? There are a lot of species out there, and you can't trust a cartoon DNA test
I don't understand why I recognized this video so quickly from so many years ago when my memory is so fried it can take me a minute to notice I'm watching the same episode of a show I saw a week ago
Solution would be offering users a way to link an updated version of a post to the original
