Just installed nostr:npub10r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7stjt2p8 on my Android phone and am embarrassingly excited to find a weather app that doesn't have ads or a requirement to login (thank you BBC weather app).
What other apps are worth playing with? Currently mainly using Primal.

I think zap.store will be easier to use than Obtainium or downloading APKs from github for this average user

Yo! Wavlake has been there for a long time.
Maybe you misspelt? We need to work on better fuzzy search
And zap.store is everyone's, unruggable app store.
Why? Because it's based on nostr events for each app and release, cryptographically tied to actual packages/binaries.
So even if they make feijoada with nostr:nprofile1qqs8y6s7ycwvv36xwn5zsh3e2xemkyumaxnh85dv7jwus6xmscdpcygpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz8thwden5te0dehhxarj9ekh2arfdeuhwctvd3jhgtnrdakj7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejz7qxvpy4 's head for having VPN apps, the app store will just keep running.
It's also open source and you can fork it (we'll make it easier though, and let you manage your relays)
Super early days, but freedom and UX will only go up from here.
