You make a good point with credit card settlements. But those affect the merchant and not me as a consumer. In fact, it benefits me more to have protections against fraud. So no transaction fee, instant payment, and fraud protections. Not really swaying me. Then the merchant has to liquidate all the BTC so he can pay his employees.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for crypto. I'm an enthusiast and I'm learning. Not an expert at all (make no claim to be at any point). Just throwing out random thoughts as a consumer.

#Bitcoin  is a bigger revolution than the internet. Here’s my shower thought on one reason why.

The transfer of information has seen many revolutionary moments throughout history.

1. Spoke language ➕

2. Written language ➕

3. The printing press ➕

4. The internet ➕

The transfer of value has had:

1. Barter ➕

2. Monetary tokens (salt, glass beads, shells, gold) ➕

3. Fiat ➖

4. Bitcoin ➕

Value transfer therefore never had its ‘Printing press moment’.

Fiat money was a backwards step and human society has progressed despite fiat money not because of it.

I believe humanity is now like a coiled spring.

When enough people understand the potential of #Bitcoin a tipping point will be reached and we’ll see a truly mind blowing renaissance, unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Unfortunately i just received an email from our new landlord that bought our apartment. They are raising rent making it so we can't afford it.

We now have 3 days to sign a lease that we cant actually afford or 33 days to find a new place to live in this fucked up market or my family of 3( @lexi @lilmanbtc and myself) could become homeless as we don't have parents, grandparents, friends, etc who could possibly help us out with a place to crash while we figure this out.

I'm about to be forced to sell the few million sats I do have and literally be bitcoinless and homeless, as selling my stack would just delay it, not prevent it.

If we can zap for memes, genuine content, ideas, and even zap someone to a concert...

Maybe I can get help with a place to live? 🥺
