that's a lot-o-parts

No I think they're just that stupid and grabbed the very first graph they found on a search. All those graphs are totally and obviously wrong (or at least misleading). You can't have two bell curves of different amplitudes since a bell curve literally a standard distribution.

Bell curve comparisons need a chart like fig2 where you have two standard distributions offset from one another. They can be narrower if they represent different population offsets, but they should always be the same height.

I don't care if any of these are true; didn't bother clicking through the links. It's just interesting how stupid people believe the very first result a search engine tells them is true.

Damn … 2012

“We’re a long way from SSDs that come in 1 Terrabyte for a reasonable price”

I remember buying 2x3TB externals back then. One was a backup I shipped to my sister. They contained everything I cared about, before I sold everything and left the US for a few years.

Also I don’t think I knew LTT existed back then … nor do I remember watching any tech YouBoobers. I think that’s back when people still read TomsHardware and there were tons on online parts stores and things like price-scan and price-watch to compare prices. All that was gone when I came back.

Now we just have a ton of YouBoob reviewers and Amazon/Newegg/eBay unless your in one of 10 cities with a Microcenter.

I gave up on LTT over two years ago when they started giving medical advice and were doing the mask virtue signaling bullshit.

I started watching more GN and really appreciate their stuff .. saw this earlier today. It's pretty long and going into a lot of stuff. Linus has [responded to it](https://linustechtips.com/topic/1526180-gamers-nexus-alleges-lmg-has-insufficient-ethics-and-integrity/page/16/#comment-16078641), but it's mostly hand-wavey deflection bullshit.

I'm glad I never bought any LTT merch. I do own a GN pint glass, coasters, and mouse pad. Their stuff is interesting, and incredibly detailed. Linus is cancer.

nostr:npub109x0x9dlft64y4h9vz9mxu92qpqn752sd8p4xe2zkcanlzmk2fcq3pwvvl I can relate to that. I did a lot of programming in middle school and early high school, but my productivity reduced partially due to internet addiction. Even imageboards which naturally don't have notifications destroyed my productivity.

I probably would have gotten that post out months ago if it wasn't for fedi-doom-scrollin'

What?! Human hearing is in the double digit Hz ranges. Can you hear Bluetooth signals? If you can, you really need to get that checked out.

Didn't an Ohio man have to go to court to force a doctor to prescribe Ivermectin?

Gamers Nexus covered this a bit. I think it's still a concept card. It also seems like it would have comparability issues. You can't just split a PCI-E slot like that. The motherboard has to support PCI bifurcation, which is about as rare as PCI hotplug.

he seems to be enjoying his chari

I left in '21, but while there I have seen CTA repair those, and they do maintain the track. It's not New York City where the trains are one bolt way from a 200 passenger fatality. But yea, huge stretches do look quite ... rustic.

..but it will still be there in 10 years (and despite how corrupt the city is, they do tend to fix these things). In China, it would look perfect, but be cracking on the inside and randomly cause a bridge collapse within 3 years of it being built.

It's a country. I was there in 2015. Here are some photos I took of it.

In Brunswick they sentenced the guy who just recorded it with a camera. They were also denied a jury trial, as the judge issued summary judgment on some of the charges after the defense had rested!

The issue comes with losing an alternative rendering engine. We have very few today: Gecko (Firefox), Blink/Chromium, WebKit/Safari. Opera dropped theirs. I wish Microsoft had at least open sourced Trident before killing it.

The issue is not with losing a browser, it's have a choice in rendering engines.

Do you have any recommendations on staining? I was told I could get a better look if I used interior stain and then coated it in a urethane/water sealant (as opposed to using outdoor combined oil based stain/sealant).

Well, that beats my photo of a monk with an eyePad.
