Depending on the client, you might be seeing replies too. Amethyst has a nice follow view of just posts, not replies.
A tame option per follow would be a nice addition. Click it if you are seeing too many notes, and it would apply some rules to reduce the noise. This could be client side.
For those wanting zaps, providing insight on Nostr is the best way to win. Write something useful, answer some questions, contribute. POW forever.
I'm using stacker.news. Custodial, but good for zaps.

Ok. I see some now. Also, last night I saw a comment I wanted to respond to, but had left the thread. It took several attempts of reloading the thread before that comment showed again.
Is it maybe timing out thread retrieval on other relays? I would think it caches them, but wasn't sure.
