The geopolitical situation seems to be headed down this path. As impactful as these wars have been on us, casualty rates are nowhere near as severe as past global conflicts like WWII and Vietnam.
If you democratize warfare that much there's also the possibility that citizens will begin to view warfare as a rather futile ritual. Human capital will continue to devalue itself. It's just as Nikola Tesla said in his prediction.
Poll taxes and jury service I'm fine with. Why not? 🤷♂️
When it comes to military service, I'm not so sure. Here me out. Warfare is changing on a very broad scale. We're already quickly approaching an era where we won't even need human capital to wage war (not that we should anyway 🙄). In due time, drone warfare will have a much larger impact on global conflict than it already has.
Correction. Make citizenship valuable again.
This is why I said, in a previous thread, that the entire global taxing system needs to be revamped. They only slow down trade because, under the current system, taxes are designed to benefit the VERY few; as it SHOULDN'T be.

I don't think it will happen either. I've said before that I don't think this halving cycle will be anything like the previous ones. Why? One monumental factor: more capital has been flooded into bitcoin since 2020 than all the previous years combined.

Exactly one year ago $10 would have gotten you €9.52. Now, it will get you around €9.22. That's a 30 cent drop in value in just one year. Probably not a great sign for the value of the global reserve currency. 🤷♂️
