Persist with Nostr semantic pedantics and Nostr will not grow as fast as it could.
The wide world understands platform, accounts, app, server, password, username.
It currently doesn't much care for protocols, relays, clients, nPubs, nSecs, Nips. For crying out loud, Nips! Nobody who you want to use Nostr cares what a Nip is, any more than I want to know what makes my car work.
Just saying. I was listening to #BenArc explaining Nostr to #MrObnoxious. He practically invented this place but there is no elevator big enough to take that pitch.
It was a big kick in the ass for me. So thanks Mr Ark. I am preparing a "For dummies" text to guide prospective visitors into signing up to Nostr so they can access the Nostr features I have integrated into a new website.
Gotta pitch it so your disinterested 80 year old mother ends up pushing you out the way to sign up!
Dug out a live track from a local band I used to play with. The audio quality wasn't the best, but I was taken aback by the energy and passion coming through.
It was recorded March 2020 a week before lockdown started.
Multiply that energy and emotion across a country and shut it up in a small apartment for 42 days, which "thankfully" was the full extent of our lockdown.
Nunca maís.
Fool me once. That period genuinely fucked me up for a long while after and I wasn't even a serious musician. And I thought I had it under control at the time because I had been following it since Greece succumbed, and I was ready, so to speak.
whatever happened to characters like Pud and Fucked Companies? Nostr is shaping up a bit like a rerun of the can-do days.
Reading about the development of the internet, Governments and corporations had decades to get their grippy little fingers into the internet before it went public.

No wonder the powers that be are now scrabbling around like idiots trying to make sense of what Bitcoin is about and how to control and manipulate it for their own ends.
For the most part, they are too late Hahahaha
Still pleasantly surprised by the quality of global feed. I must be lucky.
Or could it be that the vast majority of humankind isn't actually screwy in the head and naturally sinful, and doesn't need moderators and rules and regs to make us behave reasonably. All that crap is only necessary when we are exposed to algorithms that divert us from our natural OK state.
Could it be that the media is just providing cover for pernicious government control freakery, IE we are being hit with layer upon layer of "algorithms" IE laws and mandates from authorities designed to push us off balance, make us a poorer version of our natural selves, just so they can roll in and bring order.
And the media are there to point at a tiny event and go "look, see, we need a million cops and a thousand rules to stop that happening everywhere "
I'll go for that option because that's what I've always felt since I left school.
Govt help is tiny ( and over pumped by the media) compared to govt hindrance and pure devastation, creating wars and conflicts, again under tbe pretence that it is for our good, to maintain tbe standard of living and peaceful society we live in and enjoy.
Evil wankers who do not merit a minute of our time and only a fraction of our income to centrally do what is most efficiently done centrally. Because a central body does have a role for the odd use case. Can't think of anything beyond the obvious and that doesn't add up to the gazillions being extracted every year in recent times.
Locals.
I found this link, it's not in English but Im sure that's not a problem. It shows the technique they use. It's actually from the ground not planes.
It's all late here too.
This year I was all in peppers, squash and onions and only a few tomatoes. Turns out only the onions took and the tomatoes produced more than the token amount. And cabbages are regrowing without being asked.
#growstr is not a job for control freaks.
Looking very healthy. I was introduced to okra in Barbados, they called it snots. I suspect they over-cooked it!
Depends who you ask! Local weather is and has been fiddled with for a long time. There is a large peach growing zone in Aragón which kept their fruit safe from hail storms by releasing silver chloride overhead from planes.
There was a big hoo hah when surrounding areas had their crops destroyed instead! So they forbade weather manipulation and what do you know, the peach farmers are f****ed.
Humbling and inspiring work taking water purifying biochar tech to a new level for the benefit of rural communities in developing nations.
Could do with that knowledge myself living off grid in a supposed developed country!

Cracking an egg on a flat surface not the edge of a frying pan... such a simple but time saving tip. And no shell in your omelette either.
What's the latest greatest Nostr merchant store ? #asknostr
They say AI Chat corrects code, but I just spent an hour pushing Mistral to post the full code for an html,CSS,js search box.
If anything it trained me in the process of drip feeding me the final solution.
This will definitely be viewed in future years as the age of stupid. After hearing a headmaster justify their attendance policy, I am sure the system is either going to be dismantled or double down.
The kids obliged to study at an institution set up for the benefit of the state and it's steeple employees. If they are outside said institution 10 minutes before teachers are "ready" to open a gate, unless it's raining, they have to wait in a queue up to get in.
If they arrive 10 minutes late, they are excluded from the class and marked absent
And they are given homework after their work day.
If adults were treated like that, there would be uproar. As it is they can only get away with it within the education system.
Why might a kid be late? Maybe their biology teacher knows the answer to that but turns a blind eye, because starting at 12am to fit with the circadian cycle of adolescents doesn't fit with the teachers schedule.
Sorry, but no wonder society is going down the toilet. The age of stupid education, the age of failed economics, health care, food production, with the state hijacking ever more supporters on the payroll turning a blind eye to so many failings just to keep the gravy train going. Not impressed. I write this as someone who taught outside the state system, getting kids up to speed so they could pass ridiculous parrot fashion memory tests framed as exams. Funny how when an outsider helped them understand what the subject was actually about, they aced it. .
Ever come across Rev? Its extremely accurate and they insist their privacy and data protection is a priority.

That was a fascinating podcast. Don't hear that sort of discussion on national radio.
Out and about in rural Aragón. They don't make streets like this any more
