Chickens free ranging in olive groves lay great eggs, fertilise the soil, restore biodiversity and keep the cash flow. going when olives are on alternate fruiting

You are an eternal spirit inside a body that could last 100 years or crap out on you at any moment. Do what you will with that observation:)

its getting fuzzy again for me with relays and permanent forever files kept on Nostr.

I'm seeing relay delete options, and just read a file server opo deletes files once you stop paying. On the other hand, the story is Nostr forever, someone somewhere will always be able to serve up your content.

are there different ways of uploading media to nostr so some is permanent and others not so?

I'ts late, I don't know, I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering how a company on Nostr can go out of business but the content somehow is there for someone else to run with... Is it beholden on us to make a copy of every URL?

Do I need to run a relay for it to become obvious how it all works?

Anyone else think that to balance privacy and encouragement to zap, the sats totals for a thread or profile page should be number of transactions, not number of sats?

looking at an article from 2019 about drop in life expectancy in UK before Covid ever became a thing. https://thecorrespondent.com/837/the-biggest-story-in-the-uk-is-not-brexit-its-life-expectancy

Prior to 2019, there was a 20 year period of policy that tolerated growing inequality, compounded by austerity started in 2010. A consistent period of compounded lack of care for the old or the poor or the health service. Then Brexit was used as the distraction in 2016.

The EU was not on anyone's radar in 2016 UK.

This is a classic example of how the media and govt colluded to tell a nation what to think about while they are being hammered from every angle. Old women and babies were dying at greater rates than ever because of politicians' policies, meanwhile politicians were blaming morality rates on the weather.

Following on from this foray back to 2019, I recall our business turnover plummeting month on month for no good reason after 8 years of constant manageable growth.

Not being an economist or a Bitcoin enthusiast at the time I was unaware of serious issues revealing themselves in the financial world that year. Stuff that doesn't get into mainstream news.

I wouldn't be surprised if the events of 2020 were at best, a fortunate coincidence to distract us yet again from the real world consequences of accumulating government economic policy failures.

As a mate of mine says, "It's all fake." I'm not sure about "all" but certainly "too much".

Electrics is one domain not to dabble in as DIYer. Who wants to be that the guy with unnaturally curly hair and burnt fingertips.

DCA is great advice. Its surprising that humans haven't worked out their massive disadvantage in the investing lottery. The stock exchanges are run by robots with no emotion and near perfect knowledge and instantaneous reactions. And those behind the algorithms don't see it as a game, it is a job and they are only there to win. We can't possibly compete on that level, and hose that do are the poster children for attracting disproportionately more retail failures.

And letting emotion get involved in investment decisions is just inviting lottery squared.

Be like Bitcoin, tick tock next DCA, assuming you have regular funds that can be considered for savings purposes of course. 95% of the world doesn't have that luxury off the bat and has to sacrifice something to acquire their bitcoin. Another reason why BTC makes sense for the poor - to actually know their energy store is pretty safe from the inflation machine, another smoke and mirror invention designed to rob the unwaryl.

did you get the zap for the right answer?

I cant see it on any clients but it shows on my wallet

thanks #plebeian market, just opened 73 windows signing in with nos2x-fox :)

I think I have either become invisible or I have been shadow banned...

Can you see me?

hi from satellite

Something happened yesterday that made me wonder. What if the western elites decided long ago that the way to gain total control over the population was to first let China push the envelope on surveillance and control. Paint them as the bad guys, make us think that the average Chinese person lives like a timid victim of Big Brother, when it's nothing of the sort. But paint that picture.

Meanwhile the west are playing the classic moral high ground game of accusing your adversary of exactly what you do behind the scenes!

IE the unthinkable is rolling out before our eyes and instead of the opportunity to make America great by focusing on liberty and freedom, they and the rest of the g7 are actually going to out big brother the Chinese and their Brix buddies as they position themselves in a fast evolving multi polar world.

That's the thesis for my next novel.
