Plastic bead maximalist 🍊💊

Zaps as likes is the only way.

I really wish more people used Nostr. I don’t post much but use it a lot. This place is a melting pot of experimentation. Love seeing what you’re all building. 🫂

Make your future.

Other than community, family and health, there's still nothing more important than bitcoin. I cannot bring myself to buy equities. I back myself to grow my own businesses. But all free cashflow goes straight to btc. This is the way.

Just orange pilled my business partner. Getting him off zero. Explaining inflation in a simple way did it.

Australia has a real problem with success. This guy... builds a business off his own back, only shareholder. It's successful. So fuck it, why not crane a supercar into your home? Great marketing for the business and him too.

Would I do it in the same position? No.. I'd stack sats. But I also wouldn't have created the business. It's HARD to create a company. It's even harder for it to turn a profit. It's nigh on impossible to achieve this level of success.

Good on him.

If this was in the US no one would bat an eyelid.

This is an accurate depiction.

Just met with #[0] and had my mind blown. Pay attention to what these guys are building.

What seems obvious in retrospect is not at the time.

Most are just parroting what they’re told. Others know, but are complicit in the narrative. Bitcoin bad remember?

Brad Jones, former CEO ERCOT just confirmed that Bitcoin mining

· Makes renewable operators more profitable

· Accelerates the renewable transition

· Does not compete with other users of electricity

· Drives electricity costs for all users DOWN

As an expert on grids who's seen Bitcoin mining on grids firsthand, he's the person most qualified to make an objective assessment

Here’s what he said:

Bitcoin mining makes renewable operators more profitable

“In the last 2 years there was 1100 hours of negative pricing. That means we are paying consumers to consume electricity.

The reason that occurs is that we have a lot of renewables in the State. When the wind is really blowing, we simply can’t use all that power.

Bitcoin allows those renewables to earn money during those times rather than having to shut off their service, or even having to pay customers to use their power.”

Bitcoin mining assists the renewable transition

“Bitcoin mining helps to sustain those markets for renewables and drives more renewables.”

Bitcoin does not compete with other users of electricity

“And then when prices go up [because many people want power at the same time], Bitcoin comes offline because its not economical.”

Bitcoin drives the cost of electricity for all consumers DOWN

“The real value of Bitcoin is its flexibility. The capability for us to use it in our ancillary services at the lowest possible cost means cost for all consumers of in the state of Texas.”

~ Brad Jones, former CEO ERCOT post-Winter Storm Uri

Nothing but pure signal.

I’ve learnt over the years, never underestimate a bitcoiner. We see the world for what it is and are fiercely protective of a positive future.

Yep all good. Will be fine and have learnt some powerful lessons.

Yeah all good. SaaS not panning out so need to find another role. If anyone knows a bitcoin team on the look out for a product owner/ux lead with 15 years experience hit me up!
