using android/ios mobile phone to manage or send bitcoin is for fools. Why do people use the most insecure tech ever created for managing bitcoins? Does the app come with push notifications too?
Lawmakers can stop coinjoins being transacted. Its going to happen. Only Monero can survive this.
Not of govnt lawamkers decide that pools should not transact coinjoins. Which is what they are currently prepping plans for BTW.
Yes they can. The govnt / lawmakers can issue an order not to spend from a address. If it moves you are arrested. Thats it. Bitcoin CAN be censored. And it HAS been.
And what happens when its the govnt that censors coinjoin? Mining pools are twitchy about coinjoin transactions -because they know its coming. The bitcoin community is in denial about this problem. None of the bitcoin devs have attempted to make bitcoin fungible/private. Only monero can provide freedom tech.
The alternative is even worse: unelected corporations having a monopoly if not on state violence then on technological, psychological manipulation and control of populations, as we have seen facebook, google and amazon do when EU doesn't step in. Voting with wallets has its limits when the only place left to buy essential things is corporate supermarkets and tech companies. Where are you going to get your computer chips from when only 2 companies sell them ?
I picture a future where you go on netflix and describe what kind of film you would like to watch and AI makes it for you in real time. Netflix is already funding AI companies to see if they can write scripts (and frankly I'm not sure that can be worse than most of what Netflix produces now)
Every nostr app I have used on desktop web browser is significantly better than either android or ios equivilent app. I also find this is true for new apps eg The Guardian.
Well Google chrome is trying its best to make sure we can't make good web apps in case the lose ads. . I feel a decade of devs pushing chrome over firefox because of a few missing features has a lot to answer for. Sometimes less is more.
Google's upcoming changes to Chrome Extensions will break uBlock Origin! 💔
By updating to MV3 and disabling support for MV2 Google will be pushing even more ads and trackers on Chrome users. 🤮
The internet should be a place of free creativity not a swamp of endless advertisements 👇

Idiots who buy overpriced apple products deserves nothing less, at least apple were open about their walled garden contempt for their users and their restrictive OS infrastructure has been known about for decades. They actually brag about this in their marketing! Even Microsoft Windows looks super relaxed about what you do with your computer compared to apple.
Sorry, who did say that?
Max Keiser says '250k is in play' (or close to that) EVERY YEAR
So many bitcoin bros are insufferably dishonest less optimistically disillusioned. And that alone will ensure Bitcoins demise. People don't trust bitcoin as its now become a marketing tool of capitalist right to turn 17 year olds into Thatcherites.
Yeah, this flow is what I've been building and what I'll get back on after I finish with the NIP-41 microapp.
What's missing from this video is the flow where a second app is authorized to use the account just with Nostr-identifier+password to authorize. That part is already implemented in my proof-of-concept, it just looks ugly.

The direction Nostr is going is concerning. Paid subscriptions to hold nostr keys on centralised servers is another example of nostr getting more complex, more expensive , more decentralized and less secure. The intense profit motive from bitcoin fanboys is undermining the Nostr principle of simple, open, decentralised comms.. I fail to see Nostr attracting new users who are being asked to pay for MULTIPLE subscriptions with multiple centralized entities just to get Nostr to function properly (paid relays/custodial key servers etc). Apart from making it difficult for new users to onboard, there it now has negative appeal all round when comparing it to Twitter which is arguably going to end up cheaper, a lot easier to use, and importantly Nostr does not really offer an escape from the centralized business of extracting profit from users at any price. Am I wrong?
So what you are really saying is that sats are pretty much worthless for the foreseeable future. And certainly we won't see Bitcoin reach 1m in our lifetime, even if it keeps growing as it has.
If you want to hide your IP on the Internet, use tor. Or a VPN you trust (I don't know how anyone trusts any VPN though for this purpose). VPNs are useful to trick Geo gated content, I wouldn't trust them for protecting your privacy. So for me its tor or you are just fooling yourself
nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z can you fix the backspace bug it is driving me apeshit.Thankss
You clever Nostr devs should look into Veilid if you havn't already. It sounds awesome and may solve all these issues with Tor.

I suggest looking at the slides on that link for an explainer

If you say stack dollars. Its just saying 'save dollars'. Saving dollars is actually bad for the currency as a whole (even when we account for all the other shennegans around dollars/bank manipulation). Same applies to bitcoin. Telling everyon to save bitcoin makes bitcoin price go up, but its utility go down unless you already own them. As I said: ponzi vibes.
Unless you are under 21, its diminishing returns to start degoogling your life now, its already far far too late.
Somebody loses. Someone must necessarily not stack if you stack. Its a rather simple concept. And why the fiat world had to resort to printing money not tied to gold. If only a few people have all the gold it becomes kinda impossible to use it. See debeers and the diamond trade. Nobody stacks diamonds.
