Not bad but I prefer my system.

4x 16Tb HDD connected to a rpi downloading from various private BitTorrent trackers and this being shared without limit through aMule/eMule for those who can't access those private trackers.

When I am away from home I access all this content using Jellyfin and also give access to family and friends.

I am doing this for several years now....

Over the last 2 years I've bought over 1300 DVDs (and blue rays) and over 600 CD's.

I've also got loads of retro games (from atari 2600 up to ps4) on cartridge and CD.

I want to own my own medi., I've seen too many examples of things being edited, censored or banned, and I want to have the original.

Plus, I don't have to deal with adverts, reduced quality, lack of internet or monthly charges. Most of the films and music I got came from charity shops for virtually free (some shops do 5 or 10 dvds for the equivalent of $1.

Most people think I'm insane :) but they can go do face scans to listen to their favorite metal album on Spotify, I'll carry on doing my thing :)

On this day in 2017, the USAF community movement (user activated soft fork) successfully executed the flag day to activate the Segwit upgrade after years of the Blocksize Wars and failure to reach any real agreement on a fork. Instead, an unwavering community of users running full nodes decided they would activate SegWit regardless, and miners can either accept Segwit transactions or not. Essentially the user community called the bluff of the SegWit2X business+mining group who continuously pushed as if they had control over what software would be running the Bitcoin network. Instead, the conviction & viral growth of the USAF movement was substantial enough to scare the majority of the hash power and businesses to abandon S2X to prevent forking themselves from the network of users.

Shortly after the USAF execution on the network, Bitmain, Ver & Co forked their own coin, Bitcoin Cash (Bcash) to remove segwit and produce 8MB blocks. Even though the debate continues in some corners of social media, this day marked the official end of the Blocksize Wars.

We caught two little rats at one time. The mother is still at large. There is a 100 sat bounty on her head. It shant be long.

There seems to be a trend of sat shaming on Nostr. I was unaware that giving value required exceeding a certain threshold of sats. That memo must have gotten lost in the mail. Luckily Nostr is an open system and everyone can do whatever they want.

I will continue to give my unappreciated zaps. I also very much value any feedback or zaps from others on my notes. Sure sats > likes, but the value of community building and interaction has an intrinsic value that can't be immediately quantified.

Call me old fashioned, call me cheap, call me whatever you want, IDGAF.
