Saylor is alive & speaking in today’s world. Hal was pontificating about a possible future.
They are not as opposed as it seems.
Saylor has to be careful with his words.
🎯🎯🎯🎯
We don’t disagree.
I do it with my kids & nieces/nephews.
“The Crazy BTC guy” don’t look so crazy & these bull cycles draw some really good interest from fence sitters. Even in your own family.
My daughter wants to visit El Sal with me this year too.
Your kids kids will probably live in the world you’d like to.
Gotta live in reality fren. Or you’ll go crazy.
I saw that. Yes. Amazing little clip.
By the time kids are old enough to get a checking account, they will be like wtf is that? I’ve already been using BTC for 5 years now.
Maybe. Yes. And that’s fine.
Generations from now things may be very different but this seems like the most likely road, for now (next 100+ years or so).
A healthy fear of God is a very good thing.
A healthy skepticism of your fellow man is an extremely good thing.
Walk tall. Head high. Tell the truth. Stack some BTC & humbly thank God for your chance to live during these times.
Fucking amazing times to be alive.
From 2010. 🤯
Hal was a rock star.
Agreed. Fractional reserved banking could be a death blow.
I was & still am concerned about that with the ETF’s. Fractional holdings in reserves changing percentages could significantly hurt BTC.
Good points. As a Westerner I do struggle mightily with the actual global implications & use. I understand it but don’t live in that world.
BRICS changes things a lot.
My ultimate argument on Saylor is that he’s saying what needs to be said right now. Come at this with a machine gun & bad things can happen. He’s playing a longer game here.
“Bitcoin will be the high-powered money that serves as a reserve currency for banks that issue their own digital cash. Most Bitcoin transactions will occur between banks, to settle net transfers. Bitcoin transactions by private individuals will be...rare.” – Hal Finney, December 2010
🧐✅🧐🤔🚀🎯
This is exactly what Saylor is alluding to as well. And it seems extremely plausible.
Real world view vs fantasy world thinking.
Disrupt or replace?
You can buy shit with BTC today. Go for it. Not what I meant & I worded it incorrectly with “viable MOE”. My bad.
I’m referring to replacing the dollar. BTC as reserve currency. That’s what he’s referring to as well.
Last I checked cable tv still exists as well as the internet.
