A criminal court system paid for by the accuser is in effect a hired lynch mob, the accuser would choose the "court" that provided the swiftest version of "justice". A neutral criminal court system only seems possible when funded and administered by uninvolved third parties. To run a system like that everyone in the jurisdiction would be have to be compelled to pay for it, even if they never intend to use it.
Imagine a combative criminal committed a violent act (allegedly), there is no agreed upon court: the criminal refuses to agree. Our current court system relies on both an appeal to God (hand on the Bible testimony) and democratic principles (laws, statues, ect.) A private court would undoubtedly be paid for by the accuser (huge bias implications) and have limited appeals to legitimacy... how can you claim an unbiased position and legitimacy in a private criminal court?

I agree... there are no free-riders with a 100% individual based private property system: you show weakness, you lose the ability to defend your property with force, you will be slaughtered and your property will be taken... gorillas practice this system... zero free-riders. I've got things to do... can't sit around all day providing protection for her. If only their was a group or community that could form that would realize that protecting private property is in all our interests; then we could hire someone who specializes in property defense... You just described a state with common protections and common welfare... it's almost as if humans through the entire agrarian age have invented the same thing over, and over, and over again because the citizens find value in it. But, as with all organizations, states become lazy and corrupt, and end up being the predator it's citizens feared all along.

It's almost as if; if you are residing in a territory with a pre-established common defense "a state" you are consuming the products of that state ( peace, law enforcement, jails, court systems, enforcement of property rights) The taxes the state forces you to pay uphold that system... if the state didn't force everyone to pay the commons defense would collapse due to the tragedy of the commons and the free-rider problem. It sucks to pay taxes... it sucks waaaayyyyyy harder to live in a lawless society without private property

Libertarians like HHH believe in private property you can personally defend or personally pay to have defended. This is jungle law, not a civil society. I can defend my farm and keep it, but what about my elderly neighbors? If the 90 year old lady next door can't project the physical force to defend her property she will lose it. It's almost as if you need to form a common defense to protect everyone's right to private property... if only libertarians could conceive of such a thing
I've come to a similar conclusion... private property is the basis of a civil society; organizations such as the state are formed to ideally protect that property.
Edgelord libertarians will deny every instance that the state could provide value to it's citizens. The real world tends to be shades of grey and dirty compromises; but fundamentalist of any ideology believe a utopian ideal can be achieved no matter how ludicrously terrible that system would be in practice.

The suits will get their 2 and 20 no matter what... I doubt they will become positional on something with extreme volatility like bitcoin.
